Actually... IMC has a few valid points there. People only think babies are cute when they aren't the ones taking care of them. Set one of your buddies up with a baby for a week, and he'll be happy to throw it back in your face by the third day. You see, people enjoy things like freedom... sleep... fresh air... and relaxation. Babies force you to give up these things until its old enough to take care of itself. I hate shit. I hate noise. I love my freedom. And I love to relax. I can do none of these things while watching after some rugrat. Take it from an "Uncle" who has had to watch these devil creatures for months.
