So I go to the DMV for the second time in a month to get a new DL issued. Last month, it expired, this month I had to change my name. Well, of course the last picture was bearable but the one taken today is fucking terrible. I thought the picture was done when the flash went off, so I am in the process of changing my smile to a straight line, so the picture turns out with my mouth half open like I'm mental. And they zoom up so close the picture is all face anyway, so you look like a football with teeth. There is also a shadow so it looks like a tooth is missing or seriously jacked up. I saw the picture and asked the guy for a retake and he said yes, so I sit back down and decided not to smile... I notice that there is no flash and I'm kinda concerned and then when he hands me my fucking license, it's that ridiculous fucking picture! So I took a paper clip to my face. If I get pulled over, I'll blame it on my nephew and say I'll get a replacement. I know it's vain, but who wants that as their ID for 4 years? Are they going to use that picture in the hospital when they are trying to put my face back together? "Oh yeah, her right side was always crooked like that I think that we don't have to worry about this tooth getting put back in. I think it was missing anway..." Anyone else get sucky pictures? This is my second really bad photo. The last one I looked like teenwolf.

I had (or maybe have?) a shitty DL photo... I had to drive all the way up to Austin because my shit was suspended, and wait at the DMV for a few hours before they called my fucking number. By the time I was seen, I was ready to strangle the next person that looked at me with anything other than a smile. My picture looked like a mugshot. But here's the underlying difference - I didn't give a shit. Honestly, unless you're still living in the dark ages and write checks at the fucking supermarket, you're *NEVER* going to be asked for your id, unless it's a cop pulling you over. I still don't understand the mentality of purchasing goods with a check when you could jolly damn well good put it on a fucking card and save the extra expense of buying checks, and all the other headaches that come with it. And I'm not talking about those shitty fucking banks that charge you to access your own goddamn money - I'm talking about a real bank without these outrageous charges
My last two license photos are both bad. The last one in Tenn. The camera made my face wider than it should be and put a gap between my front teeth. The TX. one was simular, however like Lomo I really did not care. First of all anyone looking at it will see me at the same time and know it was just a shitty ass DMV camera that was screwed up. You girls are so vain.
I have to fork over my ID for scrutiny every time I go into a bar or buy beer at the store. It's not the WORST picture ever taken, but my squawfro is lopsided. Oh the pain! The good part is that it was taken after I had my hair cut so people aren't always thinking it's a fake ID because apparently most folks only recognize hair.
I have to do it when I go to the bank every Friday. I have my account flagged so they have to do it. I don't know why they feel the need to do it when I'm making a fucking deposit though. I'm going to 'lose' it as soon as I get some more stuff switched over to my new name.
