You just have to love Amerika. The only place in the world where you get paid by the government in direct proportion to just how bad of a fuck-up you are. On the extreme side, we have prisons, where the 'worst of the worst' are placed, a place where they will enjoy the comfort of a roof over their head, three square meals a day, and the occasional affectionate shower escapade by the nearest sexually-deprived inmate... All courtesy of the honest, hard-working, Amerikan taxpayer. Then you have 'social programs' provided by our fellow comrades in the government. Employing a 'Robbin Hood' philosophy, they steal money from the more or less 'responsible' people in society, and dump it on the masses. Tax brackets that allow for the poorest of the poor to get by without paying a cent, all the while collecting various forms of monetary supplements from the government itself. Just the other day, I was heading towards one of the checkout lanes in the supermarket, and some fucking young couple barged into the line before I could get there. I had all of three items, and was hoping to get out of that cesspool of human waste as soon as possible. The pregnant bitch and her sperm donor in front of me had the characteristic basket of a welfare recipient. The standard issued 'WIC' items (Women, Infants, Children - a program that gives the 'poor' vouchers for milk, eggs, baby formula, cheese, etc...), a few 'personal luxuries, most notably *brand name* items, such as the individual packaged string cheese, a 6 oz. box of Velveeta, *brand name* chips, and a few cuts of meat. Now, whenever you've got one of these families in line, there's always a problem. Each item has to be rung up separately, and tendered a different way than the normal person paying with *cash*. And, when the voucher says: "good for 1.5 gallons of milk", you'd think the bastards would have the common courtesy to pick out one gallon size, and one half-gallon. Not here... she picks out three half-gallons, knowing damn well that it's more expensive than the other way. What the fuck does she care, she's not paying for it... Now, on to the other items in the cart... If someone were 'poor enough' to need WIC, you'd think that money is a concern of theirs. Wouldn't it make sense to buy the *cheaper store brands* of items they don't get free? Try the store brand cheese, try the generic chips, and don’t bother with individually packaged products, as they cost more than a bulk item... Fucking freeloaders... Here's another example of our great society at work: Back when people were issued actual 'food stamps' (coupons good for $1, $5, and $10 worth of food), one could easily go into the line, pay for a 3 cent produce item, and get 97 cents worth of change. Do this several times, and you've got enough change to buy a six-pack. I've seen this too many times to count. It all boils down to the liberal communist theory in place. The people behind these goddamn social programs want the average person to be dependant on the government, and since many people fall into this bracket, they are able to gain popular support. Encouraging underachievement through incentives is going to be the downfall of this country... unless the 'terrorists' succeed first...
or, put more simply... "they pay us, so we can pay them" it doesnt matter if its taxes or votes, they still need em, and they are essentially 'purchasing' people.. dA goVernMent oWns joO
