I attended a multi-act concert last night featuring: Kittie, Saliva, Sevendust, 7 Mary 3, Puddle of Mudd, and Daughtry. Here's my take:

Kittie: loud, screaming, and they didn't even play "Brackish." Couldn't believe it. Very disappointing.

Saliva: they were the bomb! They rocked. They played "Superstar" and the latest hit, "Ladies and Gentlemen." But, more, importanty, they brought "Click-Click-Boom" to the house and brought it down! I was on the outskirts of the mosh pit in the bounce-zone for that one.

Sevendust: pretty good. They did "Trust" "Enemy" "Denial" and a few more but didn't do "Black." I was pissed about that, too.

I caught a glimpse of 7 Mary 3 doing "Cumbersome" as I choked down some nachos. Then my friend and I decided getting back early was better than waiting for Puddle of Mudd and Daughtry.

Some movies need to seen on the big screen and some bands need to be seen live. Saliva is a great live band but I think I could watch POM on DVD and enjoy it.

Jeez. Would you believe the last 'concert' I went to was George Winston?

it completely sucks to be out in the heat and humidity and be disappointed by what you're being miserable to see. glad you got to enjoy some good things and hope the nachos weren't stale!

The nachos were overpriced but not stale. No jalapenos, though. And the show was indoors this year. Saliva made it worth while. They had the best show and seemed to enjoy the crowd as much as we enjoyed them. My friend got a knot on his head from the pit during Sevendust but that's just part of it. I didn't see any violence outside the pit; no fights. Must have been the weed mellowing everyone out. I felt like I still had a lung-full of second hand dope smoke the next morning. Yes, SECOND HAND!
