As you know my wife & I have been looking for a house. Well we might have gotten very lucky if she doesn't break me design ideas and ripping up floors and knocking out walls. He Mother got remarried a couple of years ago and her and her new husband are building a house. Well like my wife her mother puts things off and would never give us a price kept saying this and that so we had pretty much gave up on it. Well she called the other night and gave us a price of 60K for a 3 bedroom 2 bath brick with about half an acre that is right next to the lake. Not on the lake but I have access to a boat ramp like 500 yards away and I can see it from the porch. Which anything even farting in the general direction of the lake in my area starts out for 150k. I will try and get by there this weekend and take some pics to post up. We are working out the details now we might get the loan for a little more to pay off some of our debts and build a nice privacy fence and put in a hot tub.

Dont worry, as long as you plan it right, you can make tearing walls down a good investment. 60k if it is around 1400sqft you can make it worth a lot more by opening it up. We bought our 'fixer upper' for 51, and had it appraised in october for 108k, that is not completed. On a half acre 1.5 miles from the Augusta National, www.masters.org when it is done it will probably hang in around 125-140, depending on the rest of the neighborhood. But we are moving before school starts....renting this bitch out....380 mortgage, rent for about 650.00.... Yea, I'm glad my wifes an agent, sometimes.... ;D
