And Joe sucks, we had a couple of 'whataburgers' down here, old school hamburger joints, and they closed down, or the foreigners bought them and drove them into the ground.

 

We may be the world leaders in obesity (unless the Japanese Sumo nation edged us out.) If you "super size" your combo at Whataburger, you get a free defibrillator. Tommy, stick to your fish and chips and whatever boiled crap du jour with which you're accustomed. I'm sure it's healthier than US fast food.

 

Sadly no, we don't have that brand over here (well not in the places I know), I just heard the name so many times in shows and wotnot, I decided to look at their website one time. They have an image of their whole range, with descriptions of each one, that made me want to try as they look really nice.

I think yanks have embraced the doughnut a lot more and it shows with KK's vareity. Though we have the great British pudding to be proud of...

 

The original is the best. Especially if you get a dozen hot and fresh. If you drive by with your windows down while they are cooking them, it's one of the best smells in the world. I would say I'd ship you a dozen, but I dont think there is any way to get them there fast enough so they'd still be at their freshest.

 

The trick to Krispy Cream is the fresher the better. When I used to work for the Sheriff Dept. in Nashville we would take up cash and someone would go and get them. Now you need to understand that not all the Krispy places make the doughnuts some simply get them delivered. We had a deal worked out where we called in advance and made sure that they would have some coming. Then we would bypass the crowd at the door being served the ones at the rack and get ours at the back door. The lady would hold the carton with a pot holder on her hand and let them drop right into the carton off of the oven conveyor belt. They do not get fresher or hotter than that.

Honestly it ruined me. I never buy them anymore because unless I can get them like that again, the others do not compare.

Im not sure what a copy of the Viz is, and are those baby black eyed peas with salt and vinegar? That doesnt sound too shabby. Never had vinegar with my black eyed peas.
