I can't believe how inexpensive houses are where you live.

Either the one with the pool (that would be my choice) or the one your wife likes. Or get both of them. Jesus, I swear, where I live those would be between 5 and 10 times the price. That's why I rent. Where do you live anyway?

For $79,900, this looks like the deal. 1760 sf was it? 3 BR, 1.5 bath. How is the neighborhood?

I'm with Jeff, though on the prices there. This was my last house: 2200 sf, 4 BR, 2 bath. The guy that bought it from me is trying to get $248,900. I sold it for $269,000 a year ago before the market dropped. Poor guy. This house is nice, but would be worth $160K in another market.

I live in Arkansas. I like the place with the pool. For the simple fact I could rent out the pool house and pay my mortgage that way. But pools are a pain in the ass to take care of.

I really love the place with the decked out yard thou.

As far as that big motherfucker I'm not sure were it's located yet. I just sent the women all the MLS numbers she is suppose to fax me the sheets on them.

You should ask Xhibit to pimp your yard.

I live in Kensington in London, U.K. I can't get my head around those prices. Jesus.

I heard somewhere recently that London has the highest cost of living of any city on Earth now. Or maybe it was that the housing prices in London are the highest. I live on the border of Howard and Montgomery County, in Maryland. I'm sure we're a close second. 5 years ago I could have bought a row-house in Baltimore City for about 100K and now those same houses are selling for close to 500. It doesn't make any sense.

Geez. Your real estate agent must be a saint to show you that many houses.

    1. I like everything but the kitchen and the fact that it is right on the road.

    2. Cute house. You wouldn't have to do much to it.

    3. Nice hardwood. Foreclosure. You'll be paying the closing costs and you won't get a good deal on the price. I paid MORE for my house than what it was listed for because it was a forclosure and I had to fight with other people for it.

    4. Kinda small. Wood paneling... yuck!

    5. No way. Too small. Needs a lot of cosmetic work.

    6. Too small for the price.

    7. (the one you like) Nice price and it has a lot of updates.

    8. Looks like they turned the garage into another room and added that carport thingy. I don't think it is worth the price.

    9. You have always wanted a dirt yard?

    10. The pool would be nice but it looks outdated and only has two BR and one BA.

    11. I didn't like that one at all.

    12. I love the stone and the hardwood floors.

    13. Oh gawd. That house is totally tacky.

I would say this one looks like it would be pretty cute and the least amount of maintenance (besides #7). It has a big ass tree in front of it like I have. I like the shade, but the roots can fuck up your shit.

I like the looks of the stone house the best though. That porch is great.

Its aesthetically the best house, but it might need some updating... definitely in the kitchen.

75725 Is nice one, 2 bull baths, and a nice yard. Not much to mow in the back but do not let that fool you into thinking it will be easy upkeep. But personally I like that sort of thing. And in your area you get to enjoy it most of the year. If you like being out in your back yard and relaxing, barbeque, entertaining out doors it seems to have a nice setup. Then again so did the first one.

73868 “Two houses and a great big old pool” is nice. If you have a mother n law that wants to come around and stay indefinitely. You can just put her up in the pool house and lock her out of the main house and wait her out rather than be held hostage with her in your main place. Never underestimate the effort in maintaining the pool. Tag on another 150 min. in expenses for chemicals and running the pool pump. But it can be worth it if you use and enjoy it.

72830 At first I smirked at the “screams potential” comment. That’s what so many people think but they over extend themselves and never do their intended “updates”. But the price is so damn cheep and it looks as if the home owner tried to sell it and was dinged on home inspections forcing him to fix the electric and plumbing. Actually a good thing. If you have the means to do the envisioned updating. And the area around that house will absorb the cost of those updates into the cost per sq ft. Then go for it but take my advice and do the updating asap if not before moving in.

72913 If you like living in a convenient location to the city life this one has some charm to it I must admit. I like the yard there also. A 1920 home is kinda scary also. It would be a shame to live in a 1300 sq ft home and pay 2300 sq ft utility bills. And is the cloth on the walls covering up huge cracks in the plaster? Inspection is a must for sure on this one. And ask to see a years worth of utility bills on each.

Before I would look at any of these I would google-map the actual address and look at the hybrid view to see the neighborhood.

Some of them I know to be in the historical district. Which if I picked one of those up I can get a grant and a tax break if I fix the house up to look as it did in that era. I was reading on it tonight. It might be a good one to live in for 5 years apply for the grants fix it up and sell it for double.
