45,000 per year 1rst yr but interns are like slave labor from what I hear and no time to spend any money. 228,000 on average after residency

 

I got offers from Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, IU, Tulane and the one I accepted. Didn't even interview because I decided what I wanted to go into so late I had to rely on what is called the scramble which means everyone who didn't get a spot after interviewing calls all the program directors simultaneously and everything is busy and then send in your applications by computer eras system or electronic residency application service or fax, or e-mail. Not too bad as I didn't have to spend any money going around the country on interviews but the scramble has been described as like a small miniature porcupine determined and successful at entering your asshole so it isn't recommended. I think my application must have been pretty strong comparitevely and it may have been an off year for neurolgy. Ob/gyn really picked up as did anesthesia and emergency medicine. Not too many people interested in primary care.

A - Lolita College

B - Kentucky School of Higher Edjucashun.

C - The School my Dad gave millions to and stipulated in his will that they had to accept me in order to spend it.

Congrats Dan, I just hope you arent coming to the Augusta area.....I dont think this town could handle two fuglyites.

MCG is here, and then we have 2-VA hospitals, University Hospital, Doctors Hospital(formerly Humana) and Eisenhower Army medical center(Ike loved coming to Augusta), just to name the big ones. You could afford a nice house in Aug for around 150k, around 2800sqft

Yea, like Alabama is utopia, just cause you cant marry your sister is no reason to not live here.....

Yea we get those too. They sell a shack in NJ and buy a castle down here. Then they complain about the heat.

 

I think that the area below I-10 should secede from the State of Alabama and form a new State. I could be the Governor, Major could be in charge of Homeland security, and ImProtected could be Queen.

I'm drawing up a Constitution as we speak.

 

don't forget, governor swope.. i'm already queen of the universe. but i could definately settle down in the new state. but we'd have to figure out a better name.

Homeland security? I'm not sure I could handle Home Depot security. I think official Bikini Inspector would suit me better.
