I had a friend like that back in High School. Hated to loose at videogames. We use to get in fist fights over Street Fighter & Mortal Kombat if I or anyone else beat him.

We stopped hanging out with him, when we found a Tekken 2 strategy guide with the pages sticking together.

Amazing and sad at the same time. I wonder if this was an act or maybe his parents had the cam on to see what the hell there son was up to when they were away.

I went to school with a girl who would freak out and yell "oh my god!" or "what the fuck?!" at the top of her lungs over the most random shit. Like if someone says a quote from a movie she has seen, or if someone says something funny.

Excuse me, but just how did you manage to edit your post? I didn't think that feature was enabled.

Misdiagnosing kids is bullshit. Real Bipolar is serious.

If you were on Lithium as a kid, you are either bipolar or you have had an abuse/abandonment situation. So Michelle, were you adopted? Or were you ever in foster care?

I, nor any of my siblings, were diagnosed as bipolar. Sounds like your parents didnt want to deal with your unruly behavior and had you medicated. Could have been worse, they used to perform frontal lobotomies to 'cure' those same issues.....

It's funny that you should mention that, Michelle... I recently started seeing a psychiatrist, and one of the 'initial paperwork' questionnaires wanted you to answer 'yes or no' to every possible manifestation of bipolar characteristics. It probably shouldn't be, but it was kind of amusing, given that I'd studied it extensively while I was dating a bipolar girl.

I didn't say there were no people with bipolar. I saw several while doing a rotation in a university emergency psychiatric ward. One in particular was impressive. The fked up thing about the psychiatric service where I did my rotation was that they had a really small waiting room and they stuck all the psychiatric patients in there with each other for hours waiting to be seen with just a guard outside the room looking through some thick plate glass. So this 17 or 18 year old guy with bipolar starts messing with a girl in the waiting room that was asleep by looking down her shirt and lifting up her skirt. So the girl wakes up and the bipolar guy goes to the bathroom. The girl goes and tells the guard. The guard tells the guy to quit and goes back to his place and isn't paying attention. The bipolar guy accuses some black guy of "telling on him" and starts wailing on him in the waiting room. So everyone is supposed to go in there and tackle him. All the while he is screaming "fuckn niggers I hate niggers I will kill you while he barks like a dog and growls". So he is stuck in the padded room and starts beating his head against the wall barking like a dog for hours. Now that was bipolar disorder.

If the drug screen comes back negative....

Not all Bipolar's are agresssive or violent. As a matter of fact, most feel great on the upswing, and horrible on the downswing. The euphoria of feeling great is what causes the problem. They feel invincible, special, gifted, etc, and do stupid things because of it.

The point is he was manifesting the psychotic behavior that can come with bipolar. That was what made his example notable.

    I hear you.
I would just wonder if he wasn't tripping on something on top of the bipolar.
The worst case on earth is a Bipolar on Meth or Angel Dust. Ask Rodney King.

Oh, and I like Michelle a lot better than Dan. Can you send me a few pics?*

    *Not really.

I was actually referring to the 'profit motive' portion of your post, and how it correlated with the entry questionnaire I was asked to fill out. And furthermore, I wish I had a video of the event you just described. ;)
