OK, so I've got an acquaintance that wants to sell me a Grand Wega 60" LCD projection TV for $1200. The money's not the problem, and I know it's well under the going rate for such a TV, but if I buy it, I'll have to get rid of my 47" Samsung, and the matching audio tier that I bought to go with it.

Here's my dilemma. I really want this tv, but I realize that it will be too big for the room that it'll reside, and it will displace a few other items that I don't really want to part with.

    But....... It's soooo nice.

    WTF should I do? ???

Seems like you have to give more than you get. Sit closer to the 47". It'll be like.....bigger and stuff. At the rate these TVs are dropping in price, if you were to relocate in the next year, what might you be able to buy for $1200, then? If you have to displace items to make room for it, it may be too big for that room and would create a cluttered appearance thereby detracting from its awesomeness. Go rub one out and re-think it. If you have divested yourself of a load of baby batter and you still yearn for the Wega, maybe it is meant to be. But you may favor your current "system" that you have created. Now, this friend with the 60" Wega, what is his number, I think I have a place for it. ;)

You need to buy a bigger house.....put the Samsung in the bedroom and make the Wega the living room set.

    See solution,

Or you can move in the trailer with the Maj and the weights of the two big T.V.s may offset and keep it from tipping over..... :D

Half the rent on a double-wide in Lake Eufalia ALA, sounds like a plan!!!!!

You may need to get a larger power pole.......

LOL! This is true, and why I turned the TV down the first time. That, and he wanted $1800 originally. For about $100 more, I could've bought a newer 60" Panasonic (with matching stand) on clearance at Walmart.

I was willing to overlook my hatred for Sony if it meant I'd have to look through a pair of binoculars backwards to watch TV.

Yes, I'm pretty happy with my current setup, and it seems to be an excellent fit for the room. I thought about putting the 47" in my bedroom, but I've already got a 19" combo for watching the news (OK, mostly porn), and for movies, I have an LCD projector set up in there that gives me a 12 foot diagonal picture on the wall.

I'm gonna go take Havok's advice and go rub one out now... ;D

Porn on a 19" TV is like watching a football game from the blimp.

I'm not sure HD porn is a good idea. Some things are better left blurry. Ass zits and stretch marks in 1080i might be too real.

I think I'll move the projector outside and play porn on the side of the house right as the school kids are getting home...
