GOP hits Pelosi's 'hypocrisy' on wage bill Looks like the GOP is doing the honerable thing in trying to stick up for these poor people that are cruely being taken advantage of by the Demoncraps. House Republicans yesterday declared "something fishy" about the major tuna company in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco district being exempted from the minimum-wage increase that Democrats approved this week. "I am shocked," said Rep. Eric Cantor, Virginia Republican and his party's chief deputy whip, noting that Mrs. Pelosi campaigned heavily on promises of honest government. "Now we find out that she is exempting hometown companies from minimum wage. This is exactly the hypocrisy and double talk that we have come to expect from the Democrats." On Wednesday, the House voted to raise the minimum wage from $5.15 to $7.25 per hour. The bill also extends for the first time the federal minimum wage to the U.S. territory of the Northern Mariana Islands. However, it exempts American Samoa, another Pacific island territory that would become the only U.S. territory not subject to federal minimum-wage laws. One of the biggest opponents of the federal minimum wage in Samoa is StarKist Tuna, which owns one of the two packing plants that together employ more than 5,000 Samoans, or nearly 75 percent of the island's work force. StarKist's parent company, Del Monte Corp., has headquarters in San Francisco, which is represented by Mrs. Pelosi. The other plant belongs to California-based Chicken of the Sea. "There's something fishy going on here," said Rep. Patrick T. McHenry, North Carolina Republican. During the House debate yesterday on stem-cell research, Mr. McHenry raised a parliamentary inquiry as to whether an amendment could be offered that would exempt American Samoa from stem-cell research, "just as it was for the minimum-wage bill." A clearly perturbed Rep. Barney Frank, the Massachusetts Democrat who was presiding, cut off Mr. McHenry and shouted, "No, it would not be." "So, the chair is saying I may not offer an amendment exempting American Samoa?" Mr. McHenry pressed. "The gentleman is making a speech and will sustain," Mr. Frank shouted as he slammed his large wooden gavel against the rostrum. Some Republicans who voted in favor of the minimum-wage bill were particularly irritated to learn yesterday -- after their vote -- that the legislation did not include American Samoa. "I was troubled to learn of this exemption," said Rep. Mark Steven Kirk, Illinois Republican. "My intention was to raise the minimum wage for everyone. We shouldn't permit any special favors or exemptions that are not widely discussed in Congress. This is the problem with rushing legislation through without full debate." A spokeswoman for Mrs. Pelosi said Wednesday that the speaker has not been lobbied in any way by StarKist or Del Monte.
You had 5.15 hourly ? That mean bitch stole it to 7.25. What kind of mean bitch thrid world country do you have over there? The nutritional deficiencies and the gap in knowledge and your troop getting wooped even though their rig is the best ever. It fits. Shame on all your biblethumpin gun-tootin illiterate genocidal asses. 5 or 7 $an hour. Evil greedy pigsuckers. Mean bitch Joe ! Mean bitch ! Pride anyone ?
$7.25 an hour??? shit man that's about £3.70.... school leavers get much more than that over here.. and even that goes up once they hit 18...
So here we have Rep Patrick McHenry deciding to bring up the Starkist tuna issue. Barney Frank is in charge and has the gavel. He is the one who gets to decide who can speek. OK all you lame brain dumb fucks who never noticed this in the media because it was not in the media. Imagine .....just imagine if you have enough braincells to accomidate such a task. Imagine if the house speaker was a republican and his family owned 17 Million in Starkist and Delmonte stock. Then imagine that the speaker had legislation drawn up and brought forward that raised the minimum wage to all but the employees in which he were a major stock holder.
Not only is it blackballed in the media as if it never happened. In the mean time the republicans are not allowed to bring up a question about it to the floor. That is blackballed by the media as well.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Te34Jn9IRvU You need to understand about this rule". The "rule" is in all essence an unconstitutional one which is that the democrats will not allow the republicans to amend any of the bills submitted by the Democrats. That is their rule that they made up to the idiot people the implication is that there is some sort of proceeding rule in effect. Then when anyone brings it up for debate they are shot down by the majority whip stating that they can debate the ruling however it is against the ruling that it be amended in any way. This is a perfect example of what I'm talking about when I refer to a well informed public verses an ill- or miss- informed public. Your diligent media will never explain this to you or even inform you that it is taking place. I’ve said my piece now so go back to watching your cartoons and playing with dolls.
I will play with Susie and Sarah and we will drink tea, safe , in the knowledge that we are protected by Joes magnificient braincell. Even if my brainselfs kant acomidate it, it is good to know that some men stand tall in the fight against the godless communist hordes of mainstream media. A man that will NOT tolerate the fetus fisting cults of the liberal left. Bravo !
