I saw one of your dwarves, he told me to buy a Nintenoi Will, he said it would change my life. Unfortunately, I am in extreme pain (broken ankle) and have not hooked it up. I thought I would share, I am close to inner peace, yet extreme pain keeps me from achiving it. I also purchased the legend of Zelda, The Twilight Prince. Any homemade remedies to kill this pain? red poppy sap? maybe a easy recipie for methamphetamine?
When I find myself in times of trouble, Brother Mario comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, "let it Wii."
Dwaine broke his ankle while climbing from the cab of an 18 wheeler down at the truck stop. He doesn't usually have problems with coordination, but this time he had his pants around his ankles and they caught on the grip strip. I think we should take up a donation for him.
dude you honestly copped a wii? i bet you can;t wait untill mario-party comes out, or the advantures of swirly the toilet hero
Seriously Dwaine, make an appointment with a good acupuncturist. I know someone who runs a Chinese medicine clinic, and in some areas - particularly pain relief - the results can be startling.
Well, i've only happened to witness (and in one case experience) the successful application of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. But incase that isn't enough:
Acupuncture works, sometimes. No argument there. "The mechanism of ___________ is not clearly understood but, as has already been mentioned, it is quite clear that reproducible biological changes occur when.... from - http://www.healthy.net/scr/Article.asp?Id=1818 Insert the words Acupuncture, Prozac, Ritalin, Heat, Cold or Prayer in the blank, and you have the basis of modern and ancient medicine. The only reason that I prefer a more modern approach is the level of research and control that precedes the approval of a technique or medicine. On a side note - I had a nice filet of Scamp grilled in butter, topped with Greek seasoning and melted Parmesan cheese for lunch. It was the closest I have ever been to fainting from pleasure. http://myfwc.com/marine/FishID/groupsca.html That probably seems out of place here, but it is worth noting (read the article) that the Scamp is one of the few creatures that is born female and changes into a male as it gets older. I just thought you would want to know.
"Dwaine...he's always in pain"...and i think he's tried just about every orthodox method of pain relief available. He probably has one of the most overburdened livers from drug ingestion of anyone i know, and one of the highest drug tolerances into the bargain. What do you suggest? More pharmaceuticals? Always worth a try. And if it doesn't work, at least there won't be any nasty side effects to add to his burden. What is it with you and drugs, Barry? Have you got huge stacks of shares in Smith-Glaxo-Wellcome?
Actually, no. I would give Dwaine the same advice I give myself. 1. Lose 100 lbs 2. Eat better - leave off the crap food. 3. Stop using any illegal drugs and alcohol 4. Get rid of stress. (which is proven improve pain.) Sell whatever you don't need, and live within your means. 5. Make yourself get a good night's sleep. 6. Purge Anger. Figure out why you are so mad and go to the people who anger you and and try to work it out. If you can't, then write them off and stop being mad at them. Anger destroys. 7. Find something that is fun and make time for doing it. 8. Find something that you do well and use it to help somebody else. 9. Settle your Spiritual issues. Believe SOMETHING, and live within those beliefs. 10. Stop doing foolish and dangerous things to hurt yourself. People are not really impressed when you act crazy. Thats my prescription. Occasionally people need short term medical help to get these accomplished. I think medicine is good for that, if you are using it to achieve the goal of not needing medicine. If you can't live pain free without medicine, then medicine is better than pain. I wouldn't argue against that. Acupuncture (probably) can't hurt. No, all my coins are in Norvartis stock. Makers of Ritalin, and just today awarded the contract for supplying the US Government with Flu Vaccine. Basel, November 20, 2006 — Novartis announced today that it has been awarded a contract valued at USD 40.95 million to supply to the US government a pre-pandemic influenza vaccine* against the H5N1 avian influenza strain. Global health authorities have identified H5N1 as an influenza strain with pandemic potential. http://hugin.info/134323/R/1089243/191452.pdf Psychic prediction for 2007 - in Barry's garage -
yeah I do want Mario universe to come out. the Nintendo rep at the store told me that Nintendo strides for excellence. hence the reason Mario galaxy isn't ready. He did take a picture of me, with the Wii, my copy of Zelda, ans the x-ray of my ankle. x-rays don't scan well
Actually I would not rule out accupuncture so long as it was not a great deal of inconvience or costly. Some of that alternative stuff is worth checking into.
Dwaine has tried acupuncture before. He holds some kind of record for it, last time I checked. The cost of the antibiotics was greater than pain meds, so Dwaine says.
