These all seem to be the same two teams. Are they big hate rivals or are they on sabbatical from professional wrestling?

Pretty brutal. I guess it is the short knickers that makes them look so gay.

It's all from State of Origin rugby league. Basically, they take the best players from the 15 (soon to be 16) National Rugby League teams, based on which of the two league-playing states (New South Wales - blue, or Queensland - maroon) they first played in. It's an annual three-game series.

Current title holder, if you're interested, which you're not, but anyway, is Queensland.

St. Helens won the Rugby League here in Ol Blighty. It was a decent game to watch.

Can't wait for the World Cup in 2007, I can feel some wagering comming on.

I'll take England for the Repeat, if I could only remember who they beat in the final in the last world cup on their home grounds?

Two slabs of beer from the aussies in 12 months, *whistles* "how sweet it is"

Hang on ... I thought we were talking about the Rugby LEAGUE world cup. Australia are (as usual) current world champs.

As for the union, which I now realise is what you're talking about, I think we have a much smaller chance. But we'll still kick England's arse. (If I use my head instead of my heart to tip, I actually fancy it will be a France v. NZ final.)

But what the heck, I'll take your beer: and if neither Australia nor England win the RWC, I'll just sit back and remember the case I won on the cricket.
