Enter Sandman is good. I don't condemn them as sell-outs because more people were turned onto them after the "Black" album. But "One" is epic. And "Sanitarium" is a classic. Their sound has evolved from whatis was "in the day." The only constant is that Lars is a whiny tool.
I actually like "Sad But True" best off the Black album. That meaty guitar riff gets me every time. And, at the risk of being highly controversial, I think both Metallica and Dave Mustane improved considerably once they parted ways. :shock:
