I actually got in a good discussion in college during 'black history month'. Because apparently there wasnt enough history covered all ready. All I said was, "well the Irish have been oppressed for centuries, can we have an Irish history month?"

Which I guess its kinda pointless for me, being Irish/German I have been on both sides of the oppresor fence. Im just lucky that not all immigrant ships from Ireland landed in the North.

No really, I had this black guy over at my other board who was making all sorts of racial remarks to everyone else. I told him to stop.

He told me it was ok cause he was black and allowed. I mean WTF? Then he pulled the slave card.

 

And so therefore, by an incredible process of logic, all black people play the slave card.

Even the white supremacist, card-carrying KKK member passing himself off as black "over at your other board".

 

Irish maintain themselves as slaves. My hair was red till my fathers genes hit durinng puberty, now my goatee, and sideburns are coca-cola red, and my hair is black. WTF?

Anyway, I'm definately moving to Ireland after I get this business off the ground. I've been to visit family there, and I absolutely love it. Yes, the english are bastards, but the irish don't care enough to fight. I've got a picture of my uncle sitting at a bar in galway when the bay flooded... Water up to is waist, cars completely soaked, but the bar is full, and no one seems to notice that the bowls of pretzels are floating... =-/

I'm half Irish and half Cherokee. I would love to explore my Irish heritage, but that half of the family and I have never really got along.

As far as the indian side, I have been to a sweat lodge (or o-si) before. I had never felt so clean before in my life, both physically and spiritually. I even hit the pipe. :shock:
