I just don't get it, I come home , you and harlan have that fucking thing at least 1000 times, but it's like the neding is new, and a surprise everytime. What the hell is with that movie? I thought Sam Kennison was more entertaining and he could play guitar. Of course both of them were good for their times but probably wouldn't translate very well for today. You aren't picking up on the big picture. Both are comedians that wouldn't have the impact they had now because the times have changed. Kennison died so it is impossible to tell if he could have adapted. Prior was beyond his time. Just like Eddie Murphy couldn't stay on top and slipped big time in his comedy.

Dan, Kennison was funny for his time and was taken to soon. But he was of the same vane as Dice Clay. He would have been a flash and the butt of VH1 jokes after 1997. Pryor on the other hand if he would have been able too, would have adapted to today's world. Much like George Carlin has done. Because much like George Richard adapted all his life to survive. Comics like Kennison and Dice where just in the right place at the right time. You can not compare them. Hell I remember the episode of ER Pryor was on it was one of the last things he did. Even crippled up with MS the man was able to make me laugh and cry at the same time. Laugh because despite his MS he still had the humor and the sparkle was in his eye and cry because it was hard to see all that talent trapped in a body that could not let it out anymore.
