Actually Stir Crazy rocked, as did a lot of his movies. This one though was my personal fav, I had to order the DVD of it online, I could never find it in a store. Check it out if you havn't seen it yet.

I just don't get it, I come home , you and harlan have that fucking thing at least 1000 times, but it's like the neding is new, and a surprise everytime. What the hell is with that movie? I would kinda expect that from harlan, but even a red assed babbon can't sit through that thing twice... Even mIke williams wont watch that shit anymore...

P.S> if you let Mike williams touch anymore of my shit, Im gonna take a fork to his fucking eyes, so he can;t watch ANYTHING anymore!!!

I thought Sam Kennison was more entertaining and he could play guitar. Of course both of them were good for their times but probably wouldn't translate very well for today. Comedians have to be on the cutting edge of whats going on at the time to be at the top of the heap.

Sam was awesome, but then again I didn't notice his name (or any other dead comedians names in the thread title so I didn't metnion them). (You faggot dan.)

You aren't picking up on the big picture. Both are comedians that wouldn't have the impact they had now because the times have changed. Kennison died so it is impossible to tell if he could have adapted. Prior was beyond his time. Just like Eddie Murphy couldn't stay on top and slipped big time in his comedy.

We all know you are the king of man love. This thread is a perfect example. See how you and GJ argue and them make up. I can see it now it's all a big build up to a big homo pajama party with you, Barry and Grim Jesus. It'll probably come out on video as Sphincter Massacre 3 with you mofos standing in for the original cast that dies of AIDs.

Dan, Kennison was funny for his time and was taken to soon. But he was of the same vane as Dice Clay. He would have been a flash and the butt of VH1 jokes after 1997.

Pryor on the other hand if he would have been able too, would have adapted to today's world. Much like George Carlin has done. Because much like George Richard adapted all his life to survive.

Comics like Kennison and Dice where just in the right place at the right time.

You can not compare them. Hell I remember the episode of ER Pryor was on it was one of the last things he did. Even crippled up with MS the man was able to make me laugh and cry at the same time.

Laugh because despite his MS he still had the humor and the sparkle was in his eye and cry because it was hard to see all that talent trapped in a body that could not let it out anymore.
