How about I post several instances of the private system sentencing people to death? It's laughable how you post that shit up in the hopes that it seems worst than the republicans' solution. I can find gut-wrenching stories about the private system in seconds.
Look better then that why not post how the "Public" system helped someone using advanced medical techniques that are not a product of the advancements in medicine brought about by specifically the private for profit system? It will not be easy since you can thank the private free market systems for 95% of all medical advancements. Once again ask yourself what sort of care she would have received in Albania. Because that is where we are so cruel headed because of those mean, cold-hearted, and hateful liberals. Who do not care about the welfare of people.
Many advances in technology are funded by either militaries or government-funded universities. I'll use the example of computers. The first general-purpose computer, ENIAC, was developed at the US Army Ballistic Research Laboratory. The world's first stored-program computer was built at the Victoria University of Manchester. The first practical implementation of the stored-program design was the EDSAC, constructed by a team at the University of Cambridge Mathematics Laboratory. The theoretical foundations of computer science were developed by Alan Turing, who did most of his work at Cambridge University. (See wikipedia for details.) A lot of basic research in computer science is funded by governments, either because it takes place in government-funded universities and colleges, or because it is funded by government (often military) grants. Also, a great deal of medical research is government-funded, both through the funding of public universities and through government grants to researchers at both public and private universities. Let's go, for example, to the Yale School of Medicine research web page. The following gives a taste of the importance innovations developed there: "University scientists have been responsible for the identification of Lyme disease and the discovery of genes responsible for high blood pressure, osteoporosis, dyslexia, and Tourette's syndrome, among other disorders. Early work on the artificial heart and the creation of the first insulin pump took place at Yale, as did seminal discoveries about how the cell and its components function at the molecular level." And where does the funding come from? "The School of Medicine has extraordinary strength in the basic sciences and consistently ranks in the top handful of medical schools receiving funding from the National Institutes of Health." Indeed, my understanding is that almost all the medical research at private universities in the US is funded b the NIH, right down to the professors' salaries. Sure, ironically enough the republicans are opposed to social security, public health insurance, public funding of schools, and unions.
Is that the truth? True that Yale School of Medicine gets its research funds from the public sector? True that Republicans are opposed to social security, public health insurance, and public funding of schools?
If you bother reading the article on the link I won't have to take you by the hand and explain it to you. It's right on their website. Here is the actual quote from the Yale University website: "The School of Medicine has extraordinary strength in the basic sciences and consistently ranks in the top handful of medical schools receiving funding from the National Institutes of Health." As for your second question, yes, republicans are opposed to social security, public health insurance, and public funded schools. Yourself have mentioned your opposition to these institutions.
You seem to be about as informed as this guy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAl16Jjt9Hs&feature=player_embedded Yale gets the majority of its funds from the private sector then some from a government that taxed the private sector. The government taxed the profits that were gained due to the free market. Finally the previously Communist countries are after having hybridized their Socialist type of economy with privatization finally just beginning to start getting ready to start contributing to improvements in healthcare.

Besides I thought taxes were their lowest in fifty years? Even Joe the Plumber said that it's likely that Obama will lower his taxes. See? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3F6iVaU1TOY
You have said on these forums that social security was an accounting trick. You blamed poor results in schools on the government for making them public. You vividly oppose public health insurance, hence this thread. Did you bump your head or something? You seem to have a very short memory. Next thing you'll say is that McCain never considered himself a maverick? What a joke...
I'm glad you brought that up. Is Joe the plumber being penalized under the new healthcare law for not providing insurance for his workers? And is Joe's taxed going up or down? Alabaster's Grand Rules 'O War #1: When losing a war of words with a stranger in a forum, quickly change the subject.
Wow, spelling my name is a little hard? Much? Way to utilize my cynicism against me and out of relevance. You totally mastered the ancient art of "Copy & Paste". -Joe: "Wow that handsome Aballister sure showed me how it's done with that last burn. Man how am I ever gonna get back at him? I know! I'll copy and paste the burn he used on me and put it at the end of my post whether it's relevant or not." -Aballister: *Shake my head in disbelief*
Ok Ablister you got me. So back to the subject: Please and answer to the questions without "quickly changing the subject."
I honestly don't know, the video I posted suggested that it would lower his taxes (Joe the plumber seemed to be of that opinion as well). During a debate with McCain, Obama said that small businesses were exempt from any penalties if they can't insure their employees. Apparently, only large businesses that have the means to insure their employees would be fined. I'm not an American tax accountant so I can't tell you what is defined as a small business. This is all I know on that subject anyway.
Fact is Obama lied, was caught in it, and that does not matter because a majority of the people live like a mushroom in the dark totally obtuse from seeing the truth.
