Obama says...BUY AMERICAN what are your views on this? Some people say buying from China is cheaper and saves us money - and stimulates our economy because that saved money is spent here. I say lets buy American.

I will buy American trucks Small stuff is hard, because there is an abundance of Imports available, but not easily identified American products. We need to raise the tariffs on imports, thats what they do to us on stuff we export, thats how it's supposed to work, but we take it in the pants because of stupid trade agreements.

The NAFTA agreement that Clinton put in place keeps american jobs in mexico and other countries and denies us the chance to "Buy American." Granted, Bush sr. had it all lined up and Bush jr. gave favored status to the country that keeps sending us goods that are inferior and full of lead, but hey, who's keeping track. I seriously doubt that our "Messiah" can change that for us.
God, if you honestly looked at everything, it would be hard to find stuff made in America. I make sure my food is made in America, although the ingredients are probably shipped from somewhere else. I'm pissed about the Chinese fake drugs that they are sending over here w/o our knowledge... drugs that kill. Drugs made from lead road paint. That shit makes me so goddamn mad. AND all of the tainted dog food... hasn't it come from China? And the all of the lead in the toys? I think they are trying to kill us off.

Problem with unions? or just the UAW? w/out unions and organized labor we wouldn't have the 40 hour work week and decent wages. Companies that don't have unions still have to pay good wages to get skilled workers and compete with the union companies in the same area of business.

When I worked for NS(NutraSweet) they were remodeling the corporate office in Chicago, the mercantile mart, to be exact. They wanted to put some Cat5 jacks in the new areas and had the company that was doing the remodeling quote it. $2500 a drop. There was going to be 10 drops. A coworker and I flew up there, stayed a week (flew in Monday and return flight on Friday) at the House of Blues, ate like kings and drank like Lomo, did the drops and were done. Total cost? 3k. It was a Union building and any contractor that came in had to be Union. So we did it. Had a blast in Chicago too. I think we need to start putting tariffs on all these imports, let the Chinese keep their own crap. I would buy American cars if they would get their quality up. I also dont understand why its soooo hard to get decent mileage out of an American car. You have to get a 3cyl cobalt to get 30mpg, retarded. I was getting 40+ in an 89 Civic with a junkyard motor in it.
My beef with the union is the same as Phat only the straw that broke the camels back was the bailout of the big three automakers pushed by the Democrats. When you buy any GM car 2k of the price off of the top goes to pay retiree health care. Insane health care. If they are in trouble then they should have been made to file bankruptcy like any other company then a judge should decide if some punk out of high school with no real skills should be allowed to make 85k a year 20 years later retiring like a kink with a health care plan worth 50k. AND THE IDEA OF MY TAX DOLLARS BEING USED TO BAIL THE UAW OUT IS TOTALLY BULLSHIT. I'll put it this way the only way unions can be fair is if every swinging dick working her in the united states. From the lawn boy mowing your yard for 500.00 a job to the fry boy at the burger house flipping your 75.00 hamburger. is union and has a retirement worth half a million and a health care plan worth that per year by the time he is 35 years old. Of course with inflation factored in half a million at 35 will be at poverty level but its ok at least it will be fair.

I've heard he likes to hear himself speak... But up until seeing this clip, I've never seen/heard/read anything he's ever put out. I hear you when it comes to discrediting someone based on your own personal opinion of them. Others I've turned this video onto have expressed the same sentiments. I didn't watch it. I realized that I didn't like what he had to say a long time ago and turned the channel when he came on. What is his point in a nutshell?
He used a line graph to illustrate national expenditure relative to GDP on a time line. I believe that was it. And he was pretty compelling especially in light of Obama's insistence in comparing this current situation to the Great depression simply because there was the great depression on the line graph.
