My city screams, because this movie is shit. It seems like it was going to be serious but then Samuel Jackson decided that it would be better as a comedy. And in that respect it is, it is funny at a lot of points, but not the razor sharp witty comedy that make movies good. It's slap stick gag comedy. The plot in condaluted and very poorly paced, the only redeeming factor is that the cinematography is so well done.

Awww well, still sin city 2 right?

Did I see a preview for that today? I never watch TV, but I was at someone else's house, and I could've sworn I saw a clip that included something I was planning on constructing myself - an 8-12 barrel shotgun...

Is this the same movie? If so - fuck them, dammit!

The problem with the Spirit is that Frank Miller turned it into a Sin City movie. He steered it completely away from Will Eisner's vision, and Miller himself has pissed and moaned when people have taken things he has done in comics and fucked with them, particularly the death of Elektra in his run on Daredevil comics. It's too bad they messed this movie up as the source material is something special.

But dammit - did they have an eight or twelve barreled shotgun in the flick? That's all I care about.

That's nice and all, but it's not exactly like the one I saw on the Tee-Vee.

Pissed me right off, too, as I was considering constructing my own excessive, extreme, never-have-a-use-for firearm that would essentially be the merger of the double-barrel 12-ga shotgun and DaVinci's precursor to the modern machine gun. Then I see it onscreen... bastards!
