Gino's Pizza Rolls. I don't buy them but the wife will from time to time. She eats a few and I cannot seem to stop. When you cook them that toxic grease substance comes out of them it seems to be radio active. No telling how much time a family size bag of those takes off your life span.
I had a veggie pizza from the Sam's Deli the other day- it was good. I think the worst food I like is.... about 1-2 times a year I get the urge to eat hot wings... always at a bar gathering... and I always fell sick as hell for like 6 hours after eating them. I have not had any in like 2 years... and today I smelled some and started drooling. I could have eaten them... but I did not, instead I dipped the celery in the hot sauce and blue cheese ...and curved the craving.
thats a real man right there. I hate to admit it but I like men like that... health conscious metro sexuals get on my nerves. It would gross me out if a guy orders a salad no dressing and steamed veggies, and a bottled water. speaking of greasy artery cloggin food. My great-grand mother had a neighbor...(I went to his 100th B-day party) he lived to be 101. He ate the worst food in the world, I remember him sitting and eating 'fat back' for breakfast every morning. But he drank moon shine every night... people would say- the moon shine, cleared out the grease - kinda like drano cleans out pipes. I still have no idea what 'fat back' is...but it did not look or sound healthy...My G-Grandma ate it as well... she lived to be 92 (but swore she was 85 for 7 years) I always wondered about the 'drano' theory. I saw something one time on a show how Russians eat bad fatty food, but have less heart disease due to the vodka. I need to google that info... I guess you can eat all the fat and lard you want...just be an alcoholic as well.
I have consumed nearly half a pound of beef jerky from a nearby town today, and even more alcohol. Am I going to wake up tomorrow, too?
Medium pizza, peperoni, mushrooms, green peppers and cheese, folded in half and deep fried.Or a large poutine, fries smothered in cheese and gravy with a side of wings. Both potential heart attacks mmmm..I can hear my arteries hardening.
Isn't 'fat back' bacon? I don't eat too much greasy, fatty stuff, but I eat the hell out of carbs. I live on carbs and starches. My sugar is good and I am 5/7 and 1/2 and 125 pounds. So what did Atkins know? You guys give yourself heart disease and I will give myself diabetes. Good times.
You know this is the most compelling argument for me personally that modern day food processing is causing health problems. I can attest to the same. Old people that lived to a ripe old age and died not of heart deseise but instead of Parkinson, or who knows. Eating Country ham (god I love that salty stuff) and fat back and such every day. But if you look in their pantry its full of home canned vegetables from their own garden or their friends garden. (they are all the time trading and bartering home canned goods) Speaking of home canned goods. When I was growing up we would purchase a cow once a year and butcher it. We had good friends that owned a farm and we did it all there. Other than the obvious awesome country fried steaks and such we would can beef chunks. The canning process cooked them naturally and you only had to open a jar and pour it into a skillet and make beef stroganoff. Or make the most awesome stew. Yum.
You are right, My G-Grand mother and her fat back neighbor had tons of home canned/jarred crap. ..and they were always bartering. I even witnessed an old lady argument over figs. My Great grandmother said this lady owed her 2 jars of figs...and they got crazy-it was fun to watch. When it was over- my G-Granny said she was going to steal that woman's teeth. What I loved was my step grandfather would make home made pickles... Now that look back- it was not very sanitary - but they were GOOD. If I remember correctly it was a big bucket with the cucumbers and juice stuff... and it sat outside on the screened in porch with an old window screen on top, and some other shabby top... and I was always sneaking and putting my filthy hands in, to taste if they were ready- take a small bite- then throw it back. Gross As for crabs- I LOVE crab legs. I could eat them all day. One time I was in Biloxi at a buffet... spent tons of time cracking and pulling the meat, Made a huge pile. My fingers had turned prune like... I put a lot of work into this- I got up to go get some lemons... all excited about my pile of crab legs- and happy the hard work was over with. Come back - and a fucking waitress had cleared out the table- I was gone less then 90 seconds. I wanted to cry. The weird thing was this guy saw what happened and was giggling at my little silent fit and face of disappointment- and that guy was LL Cool J. BTW- Biloxi's casinos and food are 10x better then Las Vegas.
Pukey, fat back is like bacon, but its harder and more crunchy, its like super extreme bacon. It is delicous but if you eat too much of it you will be able to shoot shit through a keyhole at 100 yards. I have pretty decent access to moonshine, and it is probably the only thing I have ever drank, felt like I was superman and woke up feeling better than I did when I went to sleep. My grampa used to say if it was made right it was the purest alcohol out there. He grew up in the mountains of Va and he bought his first car when he was 12, so he could run shine. You can get some rock guy shine, but the easy test is to set it on fire. A nice blue flame is good, a flickering greenish yellow flame is no good. You can run it in your car, but it burns a little hooter than gas and isnt too good to use for a long time.
I tried moonshine one time... a drop touched my lips and I almost threw up. I would rather drink gasoline. Isnt it made out of potatoes? Waite was moonshine or white lightning ...or is that the same thing.
I figured Ever Clear was as close to real moonshine and safe against the possibility of lead poisoning as you could get. I applaud those who strive to keep up the long standing tradition of making real shine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everclear_(alcohol) I drank Everclear straight once and will never do that again. My throat sorta swelled up on the inside could not breath for a few seconds. After I could breath painfully my voice was still gone for a few seconds more. Have not seen that stuff in a while at a store. I understand it is illegal to server 190 proof in some states as Wikipedia indicated.
The only way I can drink shine is by making Kaluha out of it.Tried Everclear once and I can't believe that stuff is legal.Battery acid would be milder I think.
You know Homer I would not mind having some around especially for family coming over for Christmas. The good thing about Everclear is it was strong straight sure enough but as a mixer its almost tasteless. Great for the Wassail and Christmas punch to pack a little more punch. And the more prudent amongst the family are none the wiser. A great Merry Christmas with the family.
