After some thought, I am prouder of Auburn in their loss to LSU than of their win at Miss St. I'd rather have an ugly win than a moral victory but they learned more about themselves by playing a good team like LSU. I just wish they could dial up that enthusiasm at will.
You sound like a Shula era Alabama fan. Georgia opened a +6.5 point favorite. That's a lot of points in the SEC. I still think that the Elephants have a chance. I felt better about their chances before I saw Georgia's offense in action. Georgia will paste 30 on Bama easily. The question is can Bama score on them. Auburn fell to 16th in the USA polls, 15th in the AP. That is ridiculous. Brigham Young, Wake Forest and South Florida are ranked ahead of them. Get real. Auburn opened at a +5.5 favorite against Tennessee. Fulmers freaks have internal problems. Auburn will beat them by a truckload. Strange, Alabama has fallen to a 5.5 point dog within the the last 5 minutes. Must have been the bankroll I put on them to win.
It was a hell of a saturday. I wonder if Richt is going to Black Out the Tide, or if he is going to save that for Tn? I heard all the students are going to take Slim Fast to the game and throw them at Fulmer.
Hell, gameday is going to be there. Who cares about Ala, its about style now... Plus with TN coming in after the bye, Im sure there was probably talk about blacking them out, but with there recent fall from the buffet, Richt didnt want to waste it.
from 'www.georgiadogs.com' “The seniors asked me on the plane ride home (from Tempe on Saturday night) if they could black this game out and I said sure,†said Richt. “When it’s dark outside and the stadium lights are on I think the players and the fans get more excited and I think with GameDay coming, I didn’t see any reason why we shouldn’t. I thought we had outstanding success with the blackout and the fans last year so we’ll be asking them to participate again.†The Bulldogs matchup against the Crimson Tide marks only the sixth time in the history of the series where both teams are nationally ranked. Georgia holds a 5-0 record in those games, including a 21-10 win over Alabama during the Bulldogs’ 1942 national championship season. The Bulldogs were ranked second in that matchup while the Crimson Tide was third. Richt said Alabama’s 49-14 win over Arkansas over the weekend was not a surprise to him. I cant believe they went back to 42.....
I wonder if either team has any gas in their tanks after this past weekend. Auburn players are surely battered and bruised. I did like seeing Mr. Hatch's (LSU QB) "Welcome to the SEC" pop. He tried that option one too many times. I guess it's different in the Ivy League.
Hatch got his clock cleaned. I bet he couldn't find his dick to piss after the game unless he looked in his watch pocket. That hit cost Auburn the game. Lee came back in and settled down and got a hot hand. The LSU offense rallied around him. Hatch was not going to beat Auburn, and Miles was not going to put Lee back in after that stupid interception. Maybe Auburn will learn not to knock the number two guy out. Alabama/Georgia went to +7. I think Georgia has much more talent and experience than Bama, but I am hoping that the Dawg's choke. Every underdog gets lucky sometimes. I took Alabama and 7 just because I am in complete denial. I hope Auburn puts a few more nails in Fulmers coffin. I think he is done at Tennessee. I would not be surprised if Auburn beats them by 28. Another side of me (gut) says that Auburn is broken spirited over two heartbreakers in a row with LSU. I actually took Tennessee and +6.5 on my weekly wagers because of that. I will be glad if I lose my $5 on this one.
This is going to be a big weekend. If TN loses to AUB, then comes to Athens in a couple of weeks and loses fulmer is going to be eating ho hos in the unemployment line. The dawgs are doing the blackout because ALA is the highest ranked team that is going to come to Athens all year. It would be different if TN was up, I think he'd have saved it for that.
Right. Skeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrreeeeeddddddd. I hope I don't have to see a closeup of UGA's balls on the Jumbotron. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bI9i4IqeOcY
uh, I cant believe you pulled out a tape with Quincy Carter on it. He was probably high on Meth during that game...
I just watched the replay of Georgia/Arizona on espn360. Georgia's starting center (Jones?) got beaten pretty bad. I think he is a true Freshmen. Cody at nose tackle for Alabama will manhandle him. Cody manhandled Luigis last week, and the guy is last years Lombardi winner. Georgia will have to double up on him, which frees up a linebacker. It may suck to be a Georgia QB this week. The best linebacker in America is sitting on Alabama's bench. Georgia needs to hope that Alabama's true freshman linebacker doesn't get hurt and force Saban to play Prince Hall. I promise not to taunt anyone if Alabama pulls the upset as long as everyone promises to kiss my Crimson ass if they lose.
Media talk this morning is about how USC can work their way back to the BCS championship game since they are "clearly the best team in the country" and "just had a mental letdown." They got owned by a team that just wanted it more. I swear with 20 year old kids the phsychology part is huge. Thats the only reason that I think Bama has a chance Saturday.
