Anyone remember a particulary great day?

For me, homecoming 1978. I was a Senior, and we had never beaten our arch rival. Some moron scheduled them for homecoming, and it turned out to be a game where the winner made the playoffs and the loser was out.

Anyway, we win the game in dramatic fashion, and then I go out with my girlsfriend (bugs) for a big homecoming bash. The football team is received as heros. We go afterwards out on the boat and cruise up river all night. My friend (who owed the boat) had a gallon of Jack Daniels. I watched two suns come up the next morning, and we ate breakfast on the water. i felt for a few days like a greek god.

The other great day was right before my dad died. He was sick with cancer, and we were taking a "last trip" fishing. We went out that morning and caught a boatload of snapper. We came back home, and cooked them on the grill. Alabama played Florida, and Shawn Alexander beats them in overtime. We stay up all night playing cards and laughing. It was just a perfect day.

I cannot cite any 'perfect days,' as the cases on most of them aren't closed yet. Sorry.

No one days stands out in particular. I've had lots of good days, but now someone has a voodoo doll of me and is making my health suffer, so most days mostly suck with a few good spots thrown in so I keep hanging on.

I passed a kidney stone once. That was my worst day.

My best day is every other fucking day in my sad, lonely life.

I can never figure out the answer to questions like these. Its like my mind just changes all the time. I could say one day and 15 minutes later decide to change my mind.

Its like putting that "awsome killer song" on your ipod one day only to find later your looking at it and thinking what an embarassment it is that you would have that crappy song on your ipod.

Me I could never decide what my best day was.

Embarrassing or not I would be the one singing that shit @the top my lungs while driving down the road!

Back in the day,my best day was in 99, seeing the original line up of BlackSabbath /c Pantera opening for them, stomach full of good beer, nose full of......errr nevermind..
I now lead a very boring life.....Doesnt take much to excite me anymore..

OK, I'm back at the "happy" thread. My day today started out pretty good:

When I went into my 7-yr old daughter's room to wake her at 6:10 this morning, she was sitting up, dressed, putting on her shoes. (???) She was wearing a new shirt with the sitcker still on it. I told her the sticker was still on it which she didn't first understand, so she asked, "Sir?" (???) Then, she said she had already taken the tag off. As I looked around her room for it, I asked where it was. She said she'd put it in the garbage. (???) She then handed me a small blanket to put away because she had to make her bed. (???)

I have looked for the alien pod but have not uncovered it yet. Perhaps she is a robot, Stepford child now. I think I'll keep her.

I doubt this will last through the weekend but I will cherish this morning forever.

There must have been something going on today. My 8 year old was up pretty early as well, not as dressed and ready to go as your 7 year old but still suprised me when he came into the bathroom and brushed his teeth while I was in the shower.

They must have been up all night chatting on MySpace with each other.....

    :)

I've had looks and money. They both went away as I aged.
