I hate how it's okay for the criminals to have guns ('cause they always will) yet we don't have the right to protect ourselves.
We DO have that right. Federal law supersedes all other laws. Nobody has the balls to challenge these local restrictions/bans/etc. That Second Amendment was put in place to protect the citizens from the same tyranny that people are being brainwashed into supporting today. The 5/4 Supreme Court majority on that Illinois gun ban was fucking pathetic. Passed by one. It's a first step, though. Next, we need to get rid of laws requiring you to pay a fee to carry a concealed handgun legally (in the states that actually allow even that - and the back-asswards states that don't even offer it.) I came home from the range today, and of course they had a poster there criticizing Obama's stance on the issue. I wonder if anyone's asked to use those in place of the actual targets?
Enjoy them while you can... Once they elect an "African-American" (note the quote marks as not only emphasis, but also questionability as to actual race/creed/whateverthefuck) to office, and once he gets shot, if it hasn't happened yet, consider that the turning point in which we roll downhill with regards to firearms. Think about it... He's against guns. He's likely to get shot down while in office. Will he be a better proponent for the abolition of firearms while in office, or after he's been killed by one?
Depends, if he's gunned down Malcom X style I dont think it will change anything. It depends a lot on who does the shooting. Its funny that before they caught the DC sniper they were profiling him as a middle aged white man. SUPRISE! It shows after the heckling incident that a lot of his 'people' are worried is in an Uncle Tom. Of course those are the ones that think if he's elected they 'won'. Its going to be interesting. I am actually surprised (suprised?) that no one has taken a shot yet. If it gets thru the middle of october without happening I dont think it will. Of course someone could nerve gas the DNC, think of the issues that would solve...
