Colorado is beautiful. I drove from San Diego to Boulder back in 2003 and it was one of the best times I have ever had. We planned to drive from MD to Boulder in February but they close a lot of the passes and it would have been too dangerous. We might still drive back from CO to MD in April. What's with this video, Dan. Is that you?
Funny thing about being in the mountians it looks colder than it really is at least during the day. Can't say the same for night time though. My husband used to live in Colorado Springs and said it was great. We've kinda kicked the idea around of moving there someday. I can't imagine not breathing air that I can't see. I'm so polluted here.
John Denver never got so lucky as to sit out on the porch and enjoy a cool breeze while watching a lightning storm roll in with no rain just a cool breeze and lots of lightening most jumping from cloud to cloud. Allowing you to see them in a different perspective. Had he experienced it I'm sure he would have been inspired to write a song about it. It does get cold in the Guadalupe Mountians This photographer wrote Sadly enough I'm sure she really believes she tripped on some more global warming proof. But thats the way tributaries to the Red River have always been. Notice if there has been 1/2" of rain the creek would be three times wider. One of the cool things about this area is if you like to hike, you get virgin forest with little undergrowth to have to chop your way through.
