No I did not entirely get it wrong. I understand the whole background about the name. I have a close friend who has a (little person) son. We had the same conversation about this. When a person referring to his son says midget or dwarf they are not doing so as a derogitory statement. So why be offended about something not ment as an offense? Do you know in the US the term Niger was historically in reference to a person from Africa assumably from the region of Africa by the same name? Just like you say some one from of Cuba is a Cuban.
