yeah yeah, I'm an artist, I know that . I was saying that the 9.8k max is much too small, you are very limited to what you can do. To get my pic to fit I had to increase the compression which makes the quality crap. I think what made my picture bigger than average is the amount of colour shades it has, gifs are potentially smaller, because they are only 256 colours, as opposed to 16million I will have to do a new one with less colours.
Irfranview does really great compression. With all kinds of colors. It took my 200k JPG down to 7k. Without any noticeable loss of quality.
Ok seems pretty good, my friend was always into ACDSEE or whatever it was called, I never bothered with viewers so much as I did full blown graphics apps. I'm using Paint Shop Pro, the optimiser has a nice display that lets you see how big it is before and after you apply various settings.
Eh, make it more fun or themed. Your avatar is a swat guy, make your signature be something about that.
