No we spell it laser, I often read american items (news articles, blogs whatever) where they spell it with the 'z' which is annoying, kinda like irregardless as for the s / z thing, that happens with all words ending in 'ise' I think and defense/ defence etc
I've never spelled it lazer. If it was spelled that way, it was wrong. I remember writing, "please call us on..." instead of "please call us at..."
Yep I knew that Maj, thats why I mentioned it, though google lazer, you'll be surprised how many people use it. we also have to thank the US for words like dude and cool. maybe we should have an 'origins of words' topic.

I just wanted to see pukey spell, "Tha ray-un in spay-in stays mainely in the puhlain" Actually that looks more like grim spelled it than someone from Engrand.
