according to MS, there is an estimated 2 Million pre-orders for Halo 3, releasing tonight at 12:01 tonight. Thats a lot of fucking video games. I put a deposit, but I don't have the $$$ to pay it off right now. Anyone picking up a copy tonight?
I'm not one of them. I never cared for the Halo series. I guess being a PC FPS vet I didn't see the appeal when Halo came out. I played for 15 mins on Xbox and was like blah and took it back. So I just think it's too simplistic and appeals to people who aren't good at PC FPS or new to FPS the younger crowd. The 360 has brought better FPS's to the front like RB6 & Bioshock. Halo is a rehash of Doom/quake to me. Faceless Space Marine Fighting the alien hordes. Just doesn't appeal to me I can play better FPS.
Master chief does actually look a lot like Doomguy. Can anyone remember going into the backroom on Duke Nukem 3d and seeing a dead Doomguy and Duke quips 'thats one doomed space marine', always thought that reference was funny.
I dig the HAlo story, but the only reason it is so popular, it's the gamers leauge. It's the game, besides Madden thats played professionally for money. I am sure this one will be the same way. I will play it, but they can eat bear bryant's nappy, sour herpes ridden pussy before i shell out $129 for it. I'll stick with Bioshock. Great freaking game
I'll wait for the Orange Box & Team Fortress. I gotta get my Demoman on.... Team Fortress ate up about a year & half of my life lol.
I don't think it's even in production. I know they kee hinting to it, but I doubt Duke Nukem forever will ever happen. I bet there will be ANOTHER fucking bomberman or few dozen DOT hack titles before they make Duke
oh yeah, Im all hype about that, it comes with 4 games on one disk, including unreleased "portal". Also next month Conan comes out for the 360
Talking of games linked to sporting celebrities, Colin Mcrae died on the 15th, I only found out yesterday. As for Halo, I didn't really get into Halo original, it seemed quite dull, having played a lot of games. You mean Duke Nukem Whenever.
The Colin Mcrae thing was awful I found his fathers statement on the matter disturbing to say the least.
Damn, didn't see this thread first... I was at walmart at 12:30 last night, and ended up buying a copy (there were plenty to be had) - didn't spend much time with it, but was really impressed with what little I played. I'm about to go resume my game right now.
