It would be like watching a Chrysler salesman do a movie on why I should buy Chrysler and the evils of another manufacturer. While calling it an entertainment fictional piece to protect his legal ass and at the same time having all news and media establishments coin it a documentary.

I have no intention of buying a car and when I do decide I will seek out reliable sources. The least reliable source when purchasing an item is a sales person. They simply tell you that the best item available for your need is: whatever item was pushed in that morning sales meeting, whatever item has the best potential margin of profit, etc.

I couldn't even get through the first 5 minutes of it - it literally made me sick to watch.

But, Dwayne watched it, and said I should before giving it a complete rating. So, I will do so.

yes, I did, it's a really good, informative movie. Just ignore Joe, you know, he's a coward and gets all his info from other Neocon assholes who are spoon-fed from the Bush propaganda machine. I mean, he honestly believes that the Iraqi war is a good thing, and has latent homo-erotic fantasies about killing homeless people.

I digress, Sicko is a film for people who have insurance, and how they are shit upon buy our lackluster government, that is in cahoots with the greedy private insurance companies. It's a real eye opener, for sure.

Thanks, Dwaine. I figure it will fire me up. I fucking hate my insurance company. They try to find a way not to pay for anything.

BlueCross is the worst insurance company I have had the displeasure of dealing with. As the health benefits 'admin' at the place I work, I see how they fuck over businesses first hand. They have what you call a limited benefits plan and it was 158/mo on an individual policy (I have it) and they quoted us 436/mo (for me) on the business when it was time to renew our policy. I kept my individual policy (and have the company pay it) to save the company money, while everyone else has "SuperScrew".. I mean SuperBlue Plus, with a 1500k deductible. My deductible is only 250 and my annual limit is 25k which sounds alright as long as nothing horrific happens to me, but EVERY time I go to the DR, they kick back the claim and I have to call them and then my DR's office to get it straightened out. I think they are hoping that you won't fight it. It costs more than it pays.

yeah, you will like Sicko, like I said, it's not really a film for people without insurance, it's for people with insurance, and the headaches they go through

I watched Sicko last night. It was disturbing. I cried a few times for the people in the movie. I never thought insurance companies actually fucking killed people.

I realize that this country is fucked up more and more everyday.

Unfortunately Michael Moore is a bit of a biased, emotional manipulator sometimes.

But the stories about husbands and children dying because their insurance company denied coverage for ridiculous reasons is true.

This one woman was in a car accident and the ambulance ride wasn't covered because it wasn't pre-approved. WTF?

Personal medical savings accounts is the way to go.

Oh and sickness, death, ....... shit happens. Then it is sad that it does. But sometimes it is no ones fault. People abouse the system and the system abuses people. Point is it is worse when it is socialized.
