It's got A/C... New Pirelli tires, but I think he's going to swap them with one of his Corvairs before he gets rid of it.

LX model, I believe, if it makes any difference.

    Shit - that's the car I learned to drive a 5-speed in.

LMK if you're interested, I can ask him more questions, etc. Don't know if it'd be worth your time being that far away (he's close to San Antonio, TX)... Unless you just want to make a road trip out of it and come down to party with ol' Lomo...

My first car to drive was my brothers 75 yellow Civic like the one down the page.

We blew up the motor finally but it was not easy. Like my first Mitsubishi truck it was actually like work to kill that thing it finally threw a rod. But that thing spent an amazing amount of time wound up to 7k rpm and could get bark the tires going into third gear.

Asians are a trip they work well together as a team for company or country pride sans union.

I talked to him tonight... Here's the lowdown... Carburetor needs to be rebuilt, and the power steering has been disconnected because it leaks, and other than that, it's in fine mechanical condition. Timing belt replaced recently, AC working fine, and I was wrong on the tires - the old ones were Pirelli, the new ones are Firestones, and they have about 6K miles on 'em. Also, the water pump was replaced recently.

If you think it'd be worth your while for the parts or the car itself, LMK. Tonight, he said he'd probably let the tires go with it if he gets a couple hundred for it.

I wouldnt mind getting it, does he think it could handle the drive from there to Georgia??? I could trailer it, or fly in and drive it back.

I'm going to have to get back with him - he was supposed to email me with the details, but I haven't gotten them yet. I know the car isn't running at the moment, and as soon as I hear back from him, I'll let you know.
