I think other boards I have seen with this same engine allow you to modify that, maybe it will be an option down the road? It is really too 'happy go lucky' for me as well.

Updates on main page

Is there a reason the updates on the main page arent updating? I posted, then went off to ebay, came back and it said new post by another poster but the time was 1 hour ago. I knew I had posted since then, so I opened GM and it showed me as the last person to post.

I have it set to clear cache when I close IE, and the only thing I have it set to remember is history and passwords. Is there a refresh rate on the main page?

I think we have most of the bugs worked out, aside from the AOL email problems. I'm still working on that.

The next step is to add features that you all want and to make it fit with the rest of the site.

Reizvolles did the icons and theme for the last board but I don't think she's still around.

I think it would be good to have a 'web design' forum so, if anyone wants to tackle the theme, they can moderate the design forum if they want to. I am a pretty piss poor designer.

Please send suggestions for other boards that you think would be good and if you'd like to take control of them. I'm open for anything.

well i am all about the torrent section, I suggest that it be a members only area, and people have to be registered users for 15 days and make 5 posts to get to it. that will kill traffic, and bring REAL traders around

 

I do graphic design if you want anything done. I've posted examples before.

 

I dont know if this qualifies or not, but if you click 'reply' to a PM it puts the previous persons message in the PM as a quote. Can that be turned off, or is it in the User CP? I am too lazy to check before posting this, so I will check afterwards.....

 

Well, they're not exactly flocking in, are they? Apart from the spammers, that is. And the smilies here are fucking ugly. And this pale blue board is totally uninspiring. Makes me feel like posting the latest shares index or something. :/

 

Can we add a jump to at the bottom of threads? So after you post you can just click on it to get back to the main section of a thread or another section. So if I post a thread in GM, I can jump to BN after the new post shows up.

I guess I just dont like scrolling up to the top of the page for the thread list
