I think I recall hearing how Bale would only sign on to the film if there was limited use of special effects, guess that was one of the conditions he had on working on the film. OT, his recent rant footage kinda made me get annoyed by him.
I thought his rant was awesome. I cuss a lot worse than that driving my car. I think I am single handedly bringing the word 'retard' back. As in 'Are you a phucking retard?' or 'you must be phucking retarded to do something that phucking stupid'. I think I am going to have to check this one out in the theater. I hope our crappy little Imax gets it. They have shown 2 movies on it in 6 months. Madagascar 2 ran for like 3 months. I have been disappointed with some of the overly CGI movies (the star wars ones mostly) everything looks so damn cartoony. Whats so wrong with dressing a bunch of extras up like wookies and make them run around getting shot??? I think the original 3 with the models looked better. They are especially phoney looking on the HD LCD. You can see the 'haze' around where the CGI is. But enough on that. I like a good end of the world movie.
