I got a splinter from a mulch bag (I think). Anyway, I pulled the big chunck out but there is a tiny spot left. I am trying this 'painless' remedy. I made a paste with baking soda and water and put it on the splinter and covered it with a bandaid. Tomorrow I will see if it pops it out so I can remove it easier. We'll see if it works.
I have never heard of either of those. I hope you get it out. I got a splinter in my monkey when I was in like 5th grade. It was from an old picnic table at school. The school nurse pulled it out, and put medicine on it. It was big, like bigger then a toothpick.... and hurt like hell. It was not on the pink part but on the side.
