Medicare loses seven times as much money in fraud every year than the combined profits of the 14 health insurance companies on the Fortune 500.

Because you have to be a Socialist, pantie waste, pinko-commie, faggot to believe that everybody deserves a shot at getting health care.

On the other hand, letting the poor die like good little fascist, heartless, hypocritical closet-fag, conservative bitches is the best way to go. Agreed?

One way everyone is guaranteed to get mediocre to shitty healthcare.

The other way EVERYONE has the OPPORTUNITY to get the BEST healthcare.

To be a proponent of everyone having opportunity means you are a Fascist at least to Canadians.

No, the BEST health care is a team of leaders in their field all dedicated to your treatment. This kind of treatment exists, but it's tens of thousands of dollars per visit or session and only the wealthiest can afford it. There is an opportunity to get it, true; but unless you are wealthy, better forget about it. On the other hand, the vietnam war vet that sits in a wheelchair on the corner of the street won't get shit. Not even access to basic treatment facilities.

So shove that opportunity platitudinous bullshit up your rectum. I can come up with thousands of horror stories from people who were denied health coverage at critical moments in their lives. Health insurance companies are in the business of making money dumbass, it's NOT profitable to provide coverage. This is why decent citizens die in their homes while the CEOs pocket the fucking money.

Ever heard of the word "algorithm"? It's a series of commands that trigger pre-determined response from a source. Every time you make an insurance claim, you are being subjected to an algorithm. First, the computer will look for mistakes in your various application or claim forms. Then your health history will be investigated, any medical issues in your past will be analyzed so that it can constitute a "pre-existing" condition. Effectively denying you coverage. And it goes on until you're "cleared". The companies call it fraud prevention, it's sad to think that contracting a disease automatically opens you up to a fraud investigation.

Heh, well OK then the pinko-commie fagots should kill themselves with self inflicted wounds like a common everyday butter knife through the eyeball, and nasal cavity and into the brain.

    Hey dumbass Canadian,

Everyone in America has the OPPORTUNITY to to be RICH and get the BEST healthcare.

People risk life and limb to get here from the poorest countries in the world and build a life of wealth starting with nothing.

With Socialism no one gets that luxury. The only people who make out big time are the politicians and corrupt bureaucrats.

Medicare loses seven times as much money in fraud every year than the combined profits of the 14 health insurance companies on the Fortune 500.

I'm glad you brought up that Vietnam Vet because guess what?

HE HAS FREE GOVERNMENT PROVIDED HEALTHCARE, HE IS A VICTIM OF SOCIALISM.

    Opportunity...

    Easy word to toss around.

Why aren't you rich? Is it because you didn't feel like it?

I mean, it's America right? Everyone could be rich if they only wanted it. Easy as apple pie with a slice of cheddar.

The only immigrants you guys get nowadays are Mexicans and they only care about bringing dope in your country or other Mexicans. The days of Ellis Island with the American beacon of hope are far behind. There aren't many immigrants nowadays that believe in hard work and a strong will to succeed.

With American giants like Blockbuster and GMC going under, where does the opportunity lie? Even powerful CEOs have bit the dust, what does that say about the regular Joes and Jacks out there? When a giant falls, how many men get crushed under his weight?

Give me a concrete example of opportunity, the American way.

Don't take my cynical post as a criticism of Capitalism, because believe it or not, I believe in the free-market.

I just want to ring the bell of reality loud in your ears about "opportunity".

So then why in your mind every problem a Capatilist problem and every solution a Socialist solution?

You mentioned the GI (government employee) not getting the healthcare he needs. (Free government healthcare through the VA) and propose the solution. Free government healthcare provided by tax payers.

You mention GMC (a Socialist corporation run by the Communist Union of Auto Workers) and its impending collapse. (brought upon by Socialism) Your solution?

    More Socialism.

Fuck the government. The people can do better without the governments help. Its just like Medicare fraud being seven times greater than the profits of the top ranked Health insurers.

    SEVEN TIMES GREATER

The proposed Socialist solution has already failed us.

In its most pure form i.e. N. Korea or Cuba its a failure.

In it's Pseudo/hybrid Socialist/Capitalist form (Community Reinvestment Act, TARP, GMC, FORD, Chrysler) it is a failed Socialist system being propped up by Capitalism. The irony is the more Socialism fucks everything up the more Socialism "big government" is proposed as the solution.

Your stuck in a trap getting sucked in like wild pigs getting a fence slowly built around them by the time you figure it out your already screwed.

Step back for a moment and don't wander off into some bizarre absolute.

You tell me that the answer to the health care problem doesn't lie in public insurance. Fair enough. You rather suggest that some vague American ideal of economic freedom is the solution; i.e. opportunity.

Opportunity can be found even in the most Socialistic pig sty of a country. When Castro first landed in Cuba, he saw the opportunity to overthrow Batista. When Kim Jong-Il ascended to power after his father's death, he saw opportunity in dealing with the Chinese in exchange for weapons and technology.

What I'm getting at is that the very ideal of opportunity is a fickle thing. It's a swinging pendulum.

The kid born in the ghetto from crack addicted parents doesn't really have the same opportunity as the kid who is born from blue-blooded millionaires. Sure you hear of heart-lifting stories about kids who overcame great difficulties to become successful, but let's be honest, it's a shot in a million.

The idea of Capitalism is great. You get to cast your vote everyday through the products you buy. The masses dictate who they want to succeed by spending money. It works and it does give opportunity to clever people who know how to make money. But it's a swinging pendulum.

People who have no money have no voting power in a Capitalist system. That's where the problems begin.

What is the sole purpose of a business? To turn a profit. You don't get into the business world out of goodness of your heart, you want the fruit of your efforts. It's the basic foundation of Capitalism. Without the pursuit of profit there is no incentive to own a business. Following along?

Where the markets cannot support a business, there is no business. If no one spends money, no one wants to own a company or a firm. That's called supply and demand. No demand = no supply.

In a inner-city neighborhood, kids still need to go to school. Without education there is no attaining the oh-so-coveted opportunity. As a general rule, families in these neighborhoods tend to be below the line of poverty. How do you know if you're poor? The official cut-off line is spending more than 50% of your income on bills and necessities.

    Here is my query:

How could the market in a low-class to poverty stricken neighborhood support the building, financing, and staffing of a high-school? If no one has an income, how can they spend money on tuition and various fees to send their kids to school in a system where there is no subsidy?

Not everything is black and white. Capitalism answers a lot of questions and is usually preferable to Socialism. But sometimes the line becomes blurry. When there is no market to support an essential service, what do you do?

If you're open-minded you will recognize that you can't cut life with a knife. Not everything can be answered with a "opportunity" this or a "free-market" that.

That's my beef. That's why I fucking hate your guts. This pompous arrogance that every question can be answered with a Bing search or a Rush Limbaugh quote.

Sometimes life is a real bitch here:

But its ALWAYS a real bitch here:

So you prefer to trade the risk imposed by opportunity for greatness or failure, for the safety of miserable mediocrity and assured misery for most.

    Pathetic.

Joe no one has a chance to be rich at all. The rich stay rich... the poor stay poor. That's the way it is here. Unless you get really lucky.... you are fucked in this country. Did you know there are 30 million people living in the greater LA area? How many of them are rich successful actors or actresses? Everyone you meet in LA is an actor it seems. Why arent they all rich like Tom Hanks? Because the chance is not there!

Same goes for everything else. When I bought a truck and went into business for myself.... the companies I hauled for made SURE I wouldn't do good. I would work hard... deal with greater stress.... and still ended up making just as much money as I would if I were a company driver. I would beg for work.... get nothing. I would have to fight for every dime I received... and they tried to screw me at every turn. Not just one company.... all of them. They don't want you getting rich and becoming competetion. That is the way America really works.

And if you think poor people receive great health care because they have insurance.... you truly are a dumbass.

    A true statement:
The rich union workers are the ones getting excellent health insurance, and the poor dumb asses paying taxes are getting it for them.

So the spread of Socialism is widening the gap between upper and middle class and the increasingly smaller middle class is carrying the load. So your solution to this socialism caused problem?

Don't tell me its more Socialism!

I know all to well about the trucking industry. I was a diesel mechanic for several years, and I have two cousins driving that I keep tabs with.... well one just quit again and started his own ditch digging business ... again.

He has a few of these. at one time he had five crews, trucks, and trenchers. He was very busy and doing well till a divorce, excessive lifestyle, legal issues, and attitude problems got the best of him.

There are a lot of cities, municipalities, contractors, subdivisions burying cable now instead of using poles. like for instance fiber cable. So go take out a loan buy a piece of equipment and start digging ditches.

I know I've said it before but, "one of these days you're gonna hear a loud pop, that'll be your head coming out of your ass." Union people work hard for their money (and do a better job than non-union workers most of the time) and have to pay for their own benefits, that's why they seem to get paid so well. I'm sure if you thought you could make a better living being union you'd join up.

Rich union workers, what a dumbass thing to say.

Does your statement above mean you consider yourself a dumbass also, or do you not pay your taxes?

The dumb asses are just that because they are ignorant and do not know any better.

No I'm not a dumb ass I know that my tax dollars are subsidizing the union who runs companies into bankruptcy making inferior products that are an embarrassment to the United States citizens.

Union dumb-asses with an I.Q. of 40 installing wheels on an assembly line in Detroit making 85k a year with a health insurance and benefits package worth more than ANY OTHER in the world. And to top that off being given an exception to the "Cadillac insurance policy" penalty by Obama. While the tax payers making much less have to support the unions with their tax dollars!. That is an travesty, there should be an uprising by the people who actually produce good products.

GM is unionized across the board and makes shit ass products. Saturn on the other hand WAS making good products with great ratings. Saturn was sacrificed simply because the UAW hated them. Saturn WAS actually making profits.

FUCK the big three I refuse to buy their trash.

Joe, Hyundai's don't blow the doors off any car made in America, they just BLOW. They are junk cars made for people that can only shop at Wal-Mart. You love Wal-Mart don't you Joe?

You probably think Vizio makes the best TVs and Acer makes the best computers too.

85,000 a year doesn't make anyone a rich person Joe, you're just jealous because you have a shit job, admit it.

The reason they sell so well is that, like Vizio and Acer, they sell cheap shit cheap.

We can argue about weather or not their cars are cheap.

But there is no argument in the fact that they turn a profit while American cars do not.

As for where I shop the last automobile I purchased at Carmax.

Did you notice it is a reliable Japanese engineered Toyota?

I can't believe I'm actually going to agree with Joe on something but he's right. Hyundai makes nice stuff.

They're a Korean company. Everything in Korea is made by one of three companies. LG, Samsung or Hyundai. Or so I am told.

The truth is that not everything can be provided through the free-market alone. The police, firefighters, and the army are all great examples of areas in the free-market that fail in a modern society. Would you want a private army or police force protecting your country?

Hence the question: what do you do when a city or neighborhood doesn't have the economic level needed to support an essential service or infrastructure?

The reason why you can't provide an answer is because there is none. Sometimes the lines have to be blurred in order to provide services to the poor. There is no such thing as a 100% capitalistic country for this very reason.

You don't have to turn your country into N.Korea.
