This is pretty cool I always suspected this scenario would be possible. I think that looked at Vista Bit locker and started reverse engineering the technology and motive to expose the vulnerability (the lightbulb went on)

I always suspected the biggest vulnerability being the hibernation file which is simply a section of the hard drive dedicated to holding however amount of Mbytes of memory to. In other words an image shot of the memory before hibernate. I like the way the guy used compressed gas to freeze the chip that was sweet.

Imagine an easy fix though to simply not rely on restore or hibernate and have a mechanical switch to shunt to ground all capacitive voltage stored on the memory bus.

Would be a bit catastrophic though if someone inadvertently hit the switch at the wrong time. :p
