um did they just go up? I hardly smoke- most people do not even know I smoke ( I hide it and sneak around ), only like 3-7 cigs a day, and I only smoke half... and more if I go out. I am sure they are cheaper here in GA then in NY or Cali... but sheesh. I think a pack was around 5$ ... I guess still better then casino cigs ($10) This sucks because I buy them for my 83 year old Alzheimer's grandmother... that the only thing she remembers ,is that she smokes. Guess her ass is switching to an off brand... she goes through like 2-3 packs a day, she just sits and smokes and watches Lifetime TV all day ...and of course calls to ask the same stupid questions, sometime 5 times a day .. of course she loses half of them...and we see almost whole cigs in her ashtray... but I be damned if Im gonna spend 10-15$ a day on her habit. Funny thing is, everytime we take her to the doc, they say her lungs are clear as bell... health is great, just her mind is fucked. Still looks for her dog that has been dead for 25 years...and has completely forgotten the dog she had for 16 years that was put to sleep 3 years ago. damn I can never stay on topic... I am sure I have early Alzheimer's as well.
I'm on the fence about being out of your mind. In a way, it would be nice as long as the world you created for yourself was a good one.
Word round the campfire is packs are going up another buck or two next month. Bagged tobacco (the roll your own type) is almost doubling supposedly. Time for me to quit or be homeless I reckon.
I'm Tobacco-free still as of early December - but yeah, I heard the tax went up a dollar this month or last, and stands to go up another dollar in another month or two. Fucking great. Gives more people with a legal addiction a reason to break into my car and steal my stereo.
