I don't get it. What's the big deal? He sent his subordinates to Rhode Island to assess the damage and report back what they find. Then he is going to go there and oversee things himself. His presence in RI isn't going to get things moving any faster than the FEMA workerbees can do it.
Two different standards depending upon the responsible parties I see. Nothing new here same old routine.
I think that Rhode Island doesn't have it nearly as bad as New Orleans did when Katrina hit. FEMA took days to respond to New Orleans while this time around they at least sent someone (even if it's not the top guy himself). Don't get me wrong, FEMA is the worst government agency after the fucking post and mail. What are you guys waiting for to clean these clowns up? What a waste of money.
Well.... if Bush can continue reading a children's book while the country is under attack.... FEMA man can finish his business in Florida before heading out to Rhode Island.
