    The Military contesting a president

    Is that Wikipedia worthy?

Is the Republican Party fomenting rebellion among the armed forces as a political tactic?

Alan Keyes' rant that soldiers should refuse orders given by President Obama has produced at least one tangible example. World Net Daily reports that Scott Easterling a U.S. soldier on active duty in Iraq has called President Obama an "impostor" in a statement in which he affirmed plans to join as plaintiff in a challenge to Obama's eligibility to be commander in chief.
The statement was publicized by California attorney Orly Taitz who, along with her Defend Our Freedom Foundation, is working on a series of legal cases seeking to uncover Obama's birth records and other documents that would reveal whether he meets the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.

"As an active-duty officer in the United States Army, I have grave concerns about the constitutional eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama to hold the office of president of the United States," wrote Scott Easterling in a "to-whom-it-may-concern" letter.

"Until Mr. Obama releases a 'vault copy' of his original birth certificate for public review, I will consider him neither my Commander in Chief nor my President, but rather, a usurper to the Office – an impostor," his statement said.

WND reported yesterday that U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., said during a meeting with constituents in Cullman County he has never seen proof the new president was born in Hawaii.

"Well, his father was Kenyan and they said he was born in Hawaii, but I haven't seen any birth certificate," Shelby said. "You have to be born in America to be president."

Recently President Obama’s picture was removed from a base commissary in Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, prompting a challenge by employees as it was allegedly removed after one customer complained noting Obama’s race.

While this may not be a trend, it is noteworthy that the hostility is so openly practiced by those sworn to uphold the Constitution. As President, Ronald Reagan started the practice of treating the military as an adjunct to the Republican Party. Senator Jesse Helms warned President Clinton that if he visited a military base in North Carolina he may be shot and President George W. Bush routinely used members of the military as props during public relations tours.

If the addition to citing that the Wiki article was both irrefutable and derogatory, then what you're saying is that Wikipedia should not delete said information.

What Joe pointed towards, was in fact, irrefutable documented facts, when cited with verbs and adjectives that modify the facts to present them in the form of a cited 'opinion' - something Wiki has no problem including in an article. See the aforementioned Bush example for this.

    Are you serious?

    "Forget Derogatory?"

    "Keep irrefutable?"

    "Reveals some negative facts...?"

    Are you listening to yourself?

Here's my suggestion for you: Register FUGLY.COM as a wiki editor. Use your first post to edit Obama's entry. Add anything in the Obama entry to cite one of the aforementioned 'disputable' claims - even something debatable, yet still 'in the news' (READ the first post) - then YOU give us an update on how well your informed insurrection occurred, and how long it took for your insubordination to be taken down.

Remember, you're the one needing to be convinced, and is asking for proof.

What better way than to pave the road for you?

Let us all know how it works, will ya?

And where is Nursey? She hates bush more than you love him. Maybe she can help with this.

She took the blue pill and bought into the conspiracy movies on YouTube. In keeping with that logic she has to hate Obama.

Here are the two examples that got deleted from Wikipedia, from the first post in this thread.

"There have been some doubts about whether Obama was born in the U.S. after the politician refused to release to the public a carbon copy of his birth certificate and amid claims from his relatives he may have been born in Kenya. Numerous lawsuits have been filed petitioning Obama to release his birth certificate, but most suits have been thrown out by the courts."

"He served alongside former Weathermen leader William Ayers from 1994 to 2002 on the board of directors of the Woods Fund of Chicago, which in 1985 had been the first foundation to fund the Developing Communities Project, and also from 1994 to 2002 on the board of directors of the Joyce Foundation. Obama served on the board of directors of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge from 1995 to 2002, as founding president and chairman of the board of directors from 1995 to 1991. Ayers was the founder and director of the Challenge."

The first one, I agree, is pretty close to a legitimate entry but I can see where they would view it as another fringe piece, aimed at perpetuating some attempt to slander the guy and place doubts about his citizenship.

If he was born in Kenya or not, who cares? There are just as many articles out there questioning McCain's natural born citizenship.

The second one is just clearly another attempt to link Obama to Bill Ayeres. Again, this is just another attempt to perpetuate an attempt by the Republicans to discredit him.

I can see why both of these were deleted.

So what I'm saying is, let's all work together to come up with one that should not ever be deleted and we can see if Wikipedia is biased and is censoring any entries that paint Obama negatively.

And quit trying to bury the actual topic by cutting and pasting tons of other article text from your favorite fringe news web sites.

And also, Lomo, don't write to me in that condescending tone. I'm being polite and you should try to do the same.

With the election being over, I think it's time we got behind the President, yes there is some questionable things floating around about him, but he is 1)not doing what his peeps thought he was 2)the economy isnt recovering 3)the bailout money is being pissed away in loopholes and bonuses. Congress isnt helping. Nancy Pelosi isnt helping. Rush Limbaugh isnt helping.

Im glad I work for a Canadian company.

Fair enough lets question the constitutionality of taxing AIG's bonus money at 90%. Lets question why a Democratic congress who loves to ask the famous question "Mr. President exactly what did you know and when did you know" regarding the provisions to allow the bonus money to be protected in the AIG bailout.

You have an administration and congress who knew about the AIG bonus money fully months in advance there are several reasons to see it is preposterous to believe differently. You have according to Chris Dodd Obama ordering him to put in the provision that protected the bonus. Then you have Obama on the Leno show claiming to be astonished to find out about the bonus money at AIG. They are using this wave of emotion with the public to justify something VERY dangerous. If they can tax the AIG bonuses THAT THEY THEMSELVES ENABLED at 90% whats to stop them from taxing at 100%? And WTH not? But whats WAY more concerning is this. Whats to stop them from using the media to demonize whoever they dislike the next year and RETROACTIVELY tax the hell out of them?

They are setting up an extortion racket. Pay if you want to play. Either you contribute to Obama's 3/4 Billion campaign fund now or we use Brian Williams, Anderson Cooper, and Matt Liar to demonize you and then tax the shit out of you later.

Taxing the Bonus money retroactively as a punishment is WAY WAY overstepping their constitutional boundaries.

So the piece should be written to show the evidence that Obama was aware of the AIG bonus money WELL in advance. And that his administration ordered the provision to be inserted. And that his allies the Democrats REMEMBER THE MOST ETHICAL CONGRESS IN HISTORY are covering it up by not asking the question "Mr. President, exactly what did you know and when did you know it."

Here is a second one and this is UNPRECEDENTED in recent history (several decades) Obama is the first administration to NOT have his campaign finances audited. Write a piece about his questionable campaign funding and point out that THE MOST ETHICAL CONGRESS IN HISTORY refuses to audit his campaign funding.

I agree completly. That is BS.

What they should have done was put that shit in before they gave them the bailout, or let them fail. I dont understand how a company that is failing has employees that met criteria for a bonus. "Dont get caught screwing up" must have been the only caveat.

No, let's not change the subject. Let's get back to the topic of the thread and come up with an entry that Wikipedia should not delete. What do you say?

A company can change what it calls its headquarters I suppose thats the risk of something like this going around they could coordinate with snopes and fact check to make it out to be a "hoax" But here is an e-mail going around I need to checkup on I remember I believe Dodd being the biggest recipient of Fannie and Freddie 2nd Frank 3rd Obama. Bearing that in mind this is going around.

The reason I say that is lately a tactic of the Obama administration and the DNC is to send out a mostly true but in balance false e-mail broadcast it over the internet and then quickly use Snopes or FactCheck to muddy the water of perception making the real truth seem unbelievable or at the least suspicious.

    Here is how it works.

I'm Ron Orlando of Connecticut I drive a Jaguar XE and work four days a week S-W ten hour shifts. My car is black and on Friday coming home from a golf game I run over a neighborhood cat in the alleyway behind my house. It's during spring break and some kids witness the whole incident.

I'm a big CEO at my company and an asshole as well the girls hear the cat scream and run out to the scene I promptly smirk and tell them "Oh please its just a cat for crying out loud and kick its half dead carcass into the street gutter where the girls cannot get to it to help and it wails for another 6 hours before finally dying.

The girls are pissed and tell their parents now its going around the country club. Local papers are considering running a story and its all rather embarrassing to the company that their CEO is such an ass hole.

    NO PROBLEMO!

Start your own rumor as a matter of fact start a wide distribution spam mail with six or so different versions get the stories close but always a few details wrong. Not a black car but a gray car. Not a family sedan but a sports car. Friday coming home from work? Obviously false does not work Fridays. Coming home from Tennis? He has witnesses he was playing gold that day.

Send them to Snopes who promptly posts why each of the six or eight different versions can be proven false. Even when someone gets the real story their is no credibility to it.

Snopes and FactCheck and for that matter Wikipedia have become rumor launderers for the DNC.

The Obama involvement in the AIG scandal. There is your post. Dodd told everyone in America that he put the provisions in the bill under direct orders from the Obama administration.

The fact that the Attorney General is not getting a team of lawyers together to investigate just who knew what and when they knew it is an obvious indication that there are ZERO checks to balance the power of the Executive office. IF and that's the important point to see IF the administration is a Democrat administration.

One thing I think is really scary is this 90% tax rate on those bonuses. That's pretty crazy.

I think Joe's train of thought gets derailed easily sometimes from lack of oxygen when he's high up on that soap box. I hope he doesn't get nose-bleeds at heights, could get messy.

It's illegal and it needs to be blocked by the courts. Its WAY WAY WAY FAR over stepping their Constitutional boundaries.

It would not be as bad if they said next year they are going to raise taxes on corporate bonuses. They would not be nearly so bad. what they are doing is retroactively after the fact going and using the tax system as a weapon to punish their enemies. And here is the real killer those bastards are devious I think the whole AIG part was a setup to make the people furious and set them up to accept the idea of retroactive tax penalties. Think about it The Democrats are responsible for the Mortgage crisis with their CRA regulations. They are responsible for the bank runs a by-product of CRA and Chuck Shumer's letter to the finance magazine that was promptly published for all to see. They are responsible for the AIG bonus vie their provisions inserted into the bill that the Republicans were NOT ALLOWED TO SEE then after having the media work the people into a hate AIG frenzy propose a 90% tax on bonus's as a solution.

GIVE ME A BREAK HERE. America needs a revolution we should hang these guys by their toes.

Your surrounded by rampant Socialist and idiots that have no idea what a Republican, Conservative, Liberal, Socialist, Democrat, Communist, Fascist, is. Then end result is it seems like when someone says something different than Sean Penn, Matt Liar, Dan Blather, or Pamela Anderson. They seem to be radical.

Watch this video hang on every work pay attention to specifically what he is saying.

Don't worry Joe, as you well know we'll all be taxed out the ass as soon as all these feel good socialist programs come to fruition. I'm with you on most of what you said except for the revolution part, I'm sure that could be interpreted as terroristic behavior under the new rules set up by "W".

Point taken "W" was a liberal McCain even more so. What we need is a real Conservative. One who will "conserve" our Constitution as our founding fathers intended.
