If you dont have anything nice to say.....oh screw it who am I kidding.

... wtf is 'tiger beat'?
i don't know, we listened to it all. i remember when thriller came out, it was such a big deal when the video debuted (that spelling doesnt; look right but fuck it), not to mention the bootlegged REM tapes when the tape would stretch because we listened to it so much.
my sister had that crazy bon jovi poster in her room - on the lavender background with his hair all crazy and shit. johnny cougar was great - nobody plays like that anymore and the beastie boys talk about a tape that got worn out we still break out into 'no sleep till brooklyn' just about every chance we get. aerosmith - pump was awesome.
i feel a mix tape, er.. cd, coming on.

Haha I actually had some of their stuff the type of songs you put on your mp3 player while your sorting through your music looking for stuff then later when to your horror someone notices it you say you put it on there for your wife.
Journey, VanHalen, Foghat, Boston, Deep Purple, The Firm, Ratt (normally would not admit that but I'm intoxicated right now) GNR, Scorpions, Dio, Black Sabbath, Sammy Hagar
Men At Work, Depeche mode, a ton more of that bubble gum shit just cannot think of the names. Look if you were smart and wanted to get laid it was not all rock that you kept around. Toto for instance was good on a date.

Ozzy Tribute to Randy Rhodes got the tape however it is indiscernable all sticky covered in dried Coke (cola) Anyone got that album on MP3? Damn it I want it back.
Dio

Motley Crue
Just a few I listened to a lot of clastic shit in the 80's
Wish I had a pic of my Camaro exceptional car typical Houston area stickers in the windshield.
97 Rock! , 101FM , Q107 Classic Rock
Ha! I looked up the channel list and the only one to survice from my era was 104 KRBE (http://www.houstonareaweb.com/radio/)(bubble gum shit)

Ah yes the 80's bubble gum rock crowd.
http://romancatholicblog.typepad.com/roman_catholic_blog/images/twenqcvr.jpg
And those mysterious new wave people.
I listened to some of the stuff from time to time. It's all good but there were some weirdo's. Most people said I was a biggot for calling Mike Jackson a fag then also. Said I just did not like him cause he was black.
Never mind that I liked Living Colour.

Just pick a Rick James song from the 80's like Super Freak and switch to a new tune. Rick was one cool brotha.
Pardon my ignorance but who was it sang "You dropped the bomb on me"?
For some reason I said Rick James and that song jumped in my head but I don't think it was him.

You got to admire her for being brave enough to escape from the plantation.
The "Cult od Personality" she is supposed to follow.

The Gap Band. I fucking hate that song. I remember working at this bar in a hotel about a decade ago watching old people get drunk and grope each other to that song.

You crack me up.
That was a some in the 80's we always had proceeding a basket ball game in high school. And it was decently cool. I mean hell you liked all that weird shit. I can imagine Depech Mode, Flock of Seagulls, Culture Club, Duran Duran.
Hey there was a lot of cool shit though. Like Men at Work. 80s was not explicitly just "hair" rock. I just cannot for the life of me think of the names. Weird longs like "Here in my car" That would just so happen to come on the radio after you just smoked a big fat hooter so your sitting there (in your car)and thinking "Yeah I can relate to this"

That is a pretty cool video. I never watch the videos anymore but those are the type I like where they seem to have gone to a great deal of effort artistically. There is a fine line though. Like for instance Some new breakthrough in video animation comes out and the videos just seem to be a bunch of people looking for an excuse to employ their newly learned talent trying to package a song around a blinky light rather than making a song cool with interesting little blinky lights or what ever fits the mood.
That probably does not make much sense sorry.
