I assume we all still watch our Transformer DVD's. I still watch Tom & Jerry--though it helps having a kid who watches it.

The old Dungeons & Dragons cartoon.
And I always liked the Gummi Bears.
And remeber Dragons Lair had a cartoon for a bit, right before the commercial break they would give you two options, then when it came back after commercials it would show you what would happen in either event, one chocie always lead to death.

I remember the Dragons Lair cartoons. They really werent around long. Scooby Doo seems to be one I get to watch from time to time, My 5 YO likes Teen Titans and Avatar, so we watch those a lot. I think he likes 'family guy' because I keep catching him watching it.

I have about 40 episodes of Tom & Jerry on DVD. I liked it better when it was done by William Hannah and Joseph Barberra. The Chuck Jones directed Tom & Jerry just isn't as good, though I did like the work Chuck Jones did on how the Grinch Stole Christmas, the other cartoon that I have on DVD.

Does it come on a channel or do you have them recorded? I've always been a little sad my daughter doesn't watch that.
And, I'm assuming you meant the puppet show, not the half assed cartoon.

I bought the first season on DVD (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009RQSSW/qid=1141471114/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-8260027-5064868?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=130). Definitely get it for your daughter.
Settle this for me, we've had this ongoing argument about where it started. It was HBO right?

That's the channel I remember it coming on. I remember because shortly after it came out we stopped getting HBO.
And poor prepubecent Bungle was left only to cry out from his bunk bed...
"GOBOOOOOOO!!!!!"

You all are so YOUNG.
Looney tunes.
Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Daffy Duck, Wile Coyote, Tweety, Sylvester and all the others.
Johnny Quest too.
Those were the days.

I hear you old man. Warner Bros shat all over Disney.
Marvin the Martian, Porky Pig, Pepe Le Pew ...
You may be the only baby boomer on the boards, but (alas) some of us are not that far behind you.

There used to also be this cartoon when I was a kid (1970s) where this little whinging creature (was it a penguin?) used to moan in some kind of accent, usually finishing with the line: "...it's an injustice, it is."
Anyone remember the character's and/or show's name?

I grew up in the mid eighties, and I still think the Warner Brothers cartoons kicked the shit out of the Disney toons. Though I do have a couple of goofey collections that go along with my WB toons.

Tom and Jerry kicks ass. Especially the ones from 1943 to about 1949, it went downhill from there.

Can you remember the name of Jerry's cousin? The one that was the thug type and always showed up to wind Tom's clock?
I loved that mouse. He kicked cat ass.
