whats a good photoshop prog?

i have paint shop pro 7, but its a pain in the ass. what do you guys use?

PSP 7. Thats about as good as you're gonna get.

It depends what you wanna do with it. All programs have there pro's and cons, If you want Photo Manipulation, you cant do better than adobe Photoshop 6. If you want to make hi-quality vector graphics, then adobe illustrator 9, or Debnea Canvas 7. But for a all around good program, fuck paintshop and look at Ulead Photo Impact 6.

why pay £500 for photoshop if paintshop will do what you want for only £100.

yeah thats where i got it from. the thing i dont like is that it steals all the icons and everything opens up under it, then the animated gifs dont animate in it. i just didnt know what else to use, other than that its nice. but most likely i just dont know how to fuckin use it.

can't really do much about it stealing your file allocation thingies... you'll just have to change 'em back in folder options in explorer...
and for the animated gifs.. i think they have Ulead Gif Animator on that site... it works well....

thanx for clearin that up.

heres a quest, when i unzip the file theres the .exe, and a "fosi.info" and a "file_id.diz", what do i do? does it fuck anything up if you do it wrong order?

no.. they're just text files.. you can get an .NFO viewer..
but i just use notepad..
open the files, when it asks which prog to use.. say notepad.. and it'll use that to open 'em all the time.. (if open all time using this prog is ticked)
they usually contain info on who created the files and/or instructions

and the exe is the installer..

extract all the files to one folder, then double click the EXE file... it wont inflate if its zipped

I was doing it five years ago. And still am!(how sad is that then?). But it's not just a section, it/they are fractals of my own creation using multiple algorithms. And I didn't even know you could create fractals in Photoshop (That shows how much I know about it!).
But those sphere's aren't bad, did you create them in bryce? I'm not a big fan of font use in pic's, think that's the trademark of the webmaster or designer type... Ok. Here is one BIG response to this whole thread. First, if you are looking for a good paintshop program, listen to IMC. He knows his shit and wouldn't steer you wrong. Second, art is in the eye of the beholder. IMC has posted some bad-ass art and no one can say otherwise. PinkyBrownEye, you had some good stuff but you are still a shitmear. Nursey, that was some awesome bitmap renderings. A little sick, but I like sick. Third, Nauseous or Kelly.... whichever you wanna be called, stop crying in the corner and go get laid.
