I think Mayer is as shitty as Dave Matthews. I hate his Kermit the Frog voice. I know lot of people love the Dave Matthews band, but I have always loathed them.

His second had more updated versions with fuller band sounds. The third "Heavier Things" started to go into a more jazz-based, eclectic style. Since then, I haven't listened to anything he's done.

Singing styles are strange. If Mayer looks like he's eating shit, Joe Cocker looks like he's squeezing one out, Janis Joplin looks like she pissed herself, and Scott Weiland appears to have scoleosis.

Mayer sounds like he is eating shit. Cocker sings like someone who has emphysema. Joplin was horrible. Her voice makes me want to scratch out my eyes. Weiland looks like he died about 5 years ago.

shit-in-the-mouth - that's funny (because it is so true). i like him for his guitar skills, kinda of bluesy, and ever so often, i get in the mood to listening to some of his older songs (mostly from the first album) but his recent ones have been all crap. i like jack johnson better.
